Default Good move or Bad move?
Tomlin's decision not to use his final timeout.

I thought it was an awesome move.

Although earlier I was hoping he'd use it to challenge that sideline catch.

Definitely should've used it on the 4th down but I'm referring to at the very end of the game.
Last night I said, "Good for Tomlin by not dragging out the inevitable."

This morning I heard someone make the point that even if it's 1 in 1,000,000 of a bad snap there, why not make them do it since it was a one possession game in THE SUPER BOWL. Fair point.

Of course. I think it's probably more like 1 in 10,000,000 chance but the point was only that you shouldn't accept defeat in the Super Bowl when there's still a minuscule chance of something happening to prolong the game. Most coaches call timeouts during regular season in that situation make the other team snap it again.

I agree that Pitt fans are more likely to complain about a) only having one TO entering the 4th quarter and b) not using the final timeout on 4th down when the players looked confused.

Yeah I think my main thing is that he shouldn't have even had the timeout at that point considering how frazzled their 2-minute drill looked...it should have been used up beforehand.

I couldn't understand that either. They had 87 yards to go with 2 minutes. Had moved the ball about what, 20 yards? And had used half their alloted time up. Didn't look like they had ANY urgency to try to push the ball downfield at all. Time was definitely going to be an issue even had they picked up that first down.

It was almost as ugly as the Eagles 4th quarter performance against the Patriots.

Noticed that as well.

They're throwing to guys who were close to the sidelines and wouldn't get out of bounds, and when they get their completions Ben walks up there like "Ho hum, been here before'.

The INT's were still the biggest factor, but not using the T.O was dumb.
