Other than Troy Polamalu, I find it hard to come up with a safety who has been as good in the last 15 years. Ed Reed is an awesome coverage guy but doesn't have the blitzing/tackling skills that Dawkins has.

Rod Woodson was pretty good but I'll never really consider him a safety.

Lynch was a good safety. Not on Dawkins' level, in my opinion. Guys like Dawkins and Polamalu are total game changers.
