It reads like the NFL is at the behest of the networks for when the start times of NFL playoff games are.

Which, of course, they are.

And that THAT fact is somehow shocking or distasteful.

It is what it is.
After several TV-related controversies this season, you still read 'shock' into my statement?

Bondjrno 09-01-2011 08:35 PM

The chiefs suck.

Yeah, I do. Because anyone who is shocked that games are moved around, switched, etc to fulfill network obligations doesnt understand the contracts that are signed, that are worth BILLIONS of dollars, must be adhered to.

And fans' disdain, or players', for such contractural obligations over it is pointless.

Kansas City...Out with a whimper....

Did you assume I didn't understand the NFL's TV contracts before or after I made my statement?

When you say, 'Gotta love the NFL, and the way they let television money run the show', I can only assume the former.

That or I misread in just what context you were making your post.

No matter. Its all good.

This is getting mighty close to the over/under of 40.5. I picked the under.

Pretty rough day for Cassel.

Guess I'm not the only one that isn't all that interested in this game? Seeing as there doesn't appear to be a game thread about it yet.

I'm watching, but really could care less.
I woke up, caught this one while laying around...then LOL'd when the Chiefs couldn't score.

No way the Chiefs would be better than the Ravens. The big game next week will be between the Ravens-Steelers. Either team is capable of ending up in the SB.

Both teams traded losses, but the Steelers had a better Div record by a single game. 12-4 is no slouch/fraud.
