Default HOF: Harold Carmichael
Carmichael's career stats:

590 receptions, 8,985 yards, 79 TDs
4-time Pro Bowler

When looking at the stats, though, it's important to remember when he played. He retired in 1984.

At the time of his retirement, Carmichael was 6th all-time in career receptions, 8th all-time in career TD receptions (the only person ahead of him at the time not in the Hall of Fame is Art Powell who arguably also belongs in), and 8th all-time in career receiving yards (the only non-HOFer ahead of him being Harold Jackson, who also arguably belongs in the HOF.)

So, should Carmichael be in the HOF?

And furthermore, Id say being in the eagles ring of honor is about as far as he should go for awhile..

Or how about we not make a snap judgment about a player we don't know about?

Carmichael was a great, great player. He definitely belongs in the HOF.

Again, based on what exactly, because his numbers warrant him in the Hall of Fame. If Fred Biletnikoff walks into the Hall, then so does Carmichael.

Well Ill say this, if the HOF is about players and their play on the field and not just winning super bowls. Then put Harold in.. Friggin Lynn Swann is in and Carmichael for all intents and purposes has numbers that blow Lynn's away..

Nah, I'll just take my football knowledge over yours then, because I can sure as hell tell you about plenty of players from before my time, and if they were or were not Eagles.

And D Student's vote doesn't count, because he'd vote against Jesus Christ if he played for a Philly team.

Carmichael was in the top 10 for reception TDs 8 times in his career -- and in the top 4 during 4 seasons. His 1973 season was pretty incredible.

That's funny. Are you trying to imply that if he had those numbers as a Bear that you would have voted against him?
