When I had heard Steve had been shot and killed, I immediately thought of a few possible scenarios.

Drugs, jealous b/f of someone he was dating, or a botched robbery.

I didn't think of the possibility that the girl he was with at the time could've done it though.

Tragic either way.

Tragic that Steve had a wife and 4 kids, and felt the need to have a g/f, and tragic the way his life was ended.

A lot of people make mistakes, but it doesn't mean they should be murdered b/c of it.
You are 100% correct.

It is also sad and tragic that he made the choices he did.

Chances are pretty good IF he was hom with his family this would NOT have happened.

As a Father or a husband you MUST think about the consequences and how it can change the lives of your loved ones at ALL Times.

So Thursday night McNair was with this 20 yr old kid as she was arrested for suspected DUI. She said she was not drunk she was high. They were in the Escalade registered to BOTH of them. This is not gonne turn out good.
I was on here last night and had the exact same thoughts and decided to just leave it alone for the time being.

I was watching the NFL Network updates and reading up on this situation and yup, the car was registered to them both....at his restaurant's address (which tells you that he certainly didn't want his wife to find out), and she was really young and had just come out of a four-year relationship.

My first thought was that he might have told her he was going back to his wife (they had evidently sold their $3 mill house...maybe they were separated??)

Not to insinuate anything about his lifestyle, but regarding him and guns, didn't he get arrested for illegal handgun possesion during his career? I thought I remembered him talking about feeling the need to carry a weapon because he felt he could be targeted.
McNair, who was married with four sons, had a permit to carry a handgun in Tennessee, and he was arrested once before with a 9mm weapon although charges in the case were dropped.

The thing that stood out in the articles i've read was that there were multiple gunshots to McNair and a single shot to the girl...but the gun was "hard to find" for the initial investigators (meaning that the gun was either hidden under her or put in a non-obvious place). Dunno but that just struck me as odd. Kinda hard to hide a gun after a suicide.

McNair was also seen so often at Kazemi's apartment that a neighbor thought he lived there.

This McNair thing has me thinking. How many celebrities are monogamous?

I could rattle of a list of 100 politicians who have been shown to have been unfaithful to their wives. I won't because now isn't the time or place to do it. But then you have athletes and celebrities. And we constantly hear about scandals with them...and how many of them don't we hear about? Seems like when you get rich and famous, a lot of people decide not to stay faithful (or I'm sure some of them have arrangements where the wife/husband is ok with their spouse cheating because of the money.)

Anyway. Regardless of what McNair was doing with this 20 year old woman, this is a tragedy.

Define known?

Don't get me wrong. It wouldn't surprise me. I don't think there's any athlete out there that would surprise me. But I wouldn't condemn anyone without proof. Even then I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I don't know these people personally.

I'm not making excuses for these guys, but they spend a lot more time away from home than in it.

There are a lot of "distractions" that could cause them to do unsavory things away from their homes.

Its sad, but I think its very prevalent.

That's not to say everyone does it, or do Steve McNair deserved to die b/c he was unfaithful.

If that were the case, there wouldn't be a lot of living spouses or b/f, g/fs around.

known (nn)v.Past participle of know.

adj. Proved or generally recognized: the only known case; a known authority.

n. Something that is known: In this instance, the only known is our actual profit margin.
