Being an Eagles fan, I've been blessed with Donovan McNabb for the past 9+ seasons. Looking at the 1st round quarterbacks picked since 1999, you can see why.

1999

QB - Tim Couch - Out of the League, never did much. Shoulder injury cost him time.

QB - Donovan McNabb - Still Active. Numerous Pro Bowls

QB - Akili Smith - Cut by everyone including the Calgary Stampeders.

QB - Cade McNown - Drafted in 99, traded in 2001 for a 6th round pick. Never did anything except make an ass out of himself.

QB - Daunte Cullpepper - Had a few very good years in Minnesota, but fell off the face of the earth. Now retired.

2000 -

QB - Chad Pennington - Decent carrer, but injured alot. Now a starter in Miami. Played a full season once.


2001-

QB - Michael Vick - Great talent, but never really developed as a QB. Got in trouble, and now in jail.


2002-

QB - David Carr- Got sacked a ton in Houston, and now is Eli Manning's backup in New York.

QB - Joey Harrington - Played like Joey Heatherton.

QB - Patrick Ramsey - Career Backup

2003-

QB - Carson Palmer - Very good quarterback, has had some injury problems. Couple Pro Bowls

QB - Byron Leftwich - Had moments, but eventually cut by the Jags. Now a backup in Pittsburgh

QB - Kyle Boller - Average at best Quarterback who is on IR this year.

QB - Rex Grossman - Currently behind Kyle Orton. Struggles have been well documented.

2004-

QB - Eli Manning - Seemed slow to the learning curve until last years playoffs when he stepped up big time.

QB - Phillip Rivers - Made the Pro Bowl in 2006. Good QB

QB - Ben Roethlisberger - Rookie of the Year in 04. Super Bowl winning QB. Pro Bowl in 07.

QB - J.P. Losman - Waiting for his contract to end. Backup now.

2005-

QB - Alex Smith - On IR. Lost his job to a journeyman.

QB - Aaron Rodgers - Finally getting a chance.

QB - Jason Campbell - Looked ok as Redskins starter. This year will be important.

2006 -

QB - Vince Young - Made the Pro Bowl as a rookie, but had a low passer
rating. 2007 was a disater. Seems to have personal demons.

QB - Matt Leinart - 2nd string behind the ancient Kurt Warner. Likes beer bongs more then rehab.

QB - Jay Cutler - Played well, although not winning football. Diagnosed diabetic, so 2008 will be an interesting year to see if the treatment of the illness will improve his play.

2007 -

QB - JaMarcus Russell - Limited receiver talent in Oakland. Has weight issues.

QB - Brady Quinn - Derek Anderson beat him out in 2007, and hasn't looked back. Seemingly a backup for the time being.
