Default Bust or Still time
For these following players, is it time to give them the bust label, or is it too soon.

Alex Smith
2005
Round 1 Pick 1
Current Status: Backup to journeyman J.T O'Sullivan

Matt Leinart
2006
Round 1 Pick 10
Current Status: Backup to Kurt Warner

Smiths had longer and the 3 year period, hes a bust, Leinart I think gets this year and if he doesn't figure it out by next preseason then hes a bust.

on a side note Im so pumped Al Davis drafted Michael Huff over Leinart and everyone said he was crazy cause they needed a QB. Looks like Al showed them he still knows what hes doing, atleast with drafting talent.

Still time for both.

Cedric Benson, Erasmus James, and Mike Williams are busts, though.

Smith gets more of a pass than Leinart, at this point.

Mainly because he's had a new offense to learn every year he's been in the league.

WTF are the Niners doing with Smith? He gets a pass for now in my opinion. New offense every year and now having O'Sullivan start?

Leinert is only coming into his 3rd year and has been jerked around by the coaching staff playing the Kurt Warner game.

I say both are fine for now, but better be starting this year and showing something.

Smith will be gone from the niners by next season...he will get picked up by TB or similar and with the right grooming and a consistent offense be at least moderately productive. The Vikings, in particular, should be poised to snap him up.
