Everyone remember Dante Hall? His dominance in the return game only lasted so long because teams just stopped kicking to him. Same will happen to Hester now that everyone knows what he's capable of.
They tried that last year and he still got his chances.

Let's just drop it, your argument in this case is just bad.
my argument is bad? the guy said my team would suck if i chose welker over hester. i was just curious who sucked out of the bears and pats last year.

i'll tell what a bad argument is: saying a guy who max is on the field for 6-7 plays a game is a better player than a guy who caught 112 passes last year for 1,175 yards and 8 tds. that's an awful argument.

You can't just say "which team is better" to substantiate that argument though. The point you just presented right here, that's much more intelligent/convincing/accurate. It's not as though Welker or Hester was the main cog in their team's success or failure.

You'd be the same way if he played for the Iggles.
I'm sure I'd be very happy to have him on the team (especially with the Eagles KR/PR last year), but I'd also keep things relatively in perspective.

catching a punt or a kick isn't nearly the same as catching a bullet from a qb. awful comparison.
If you can catch a punt or kick, you absolutely have at least decent hands. You can improve on awareness and your hands by merely practicing the different drills that go into each aspect. Don't sit here and try to tell us that catching a punt or kickoff that goes about 200 yards in the air, with the wind and gravity forcing the ball back down only to send the ball into a wobbly tailspin that often misses the target you've begun at is easy. Sorry, but if you really think that catching a punt or a kickoff isn't difficult then I don't know what football it is that you watch.

Favre should be on the list. Still.

And ahead of Hester, too.

LOL. Well, considering the Patriots have Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Benjamin Watson, Maroney, and the best O-line in football? Yeah I'd definitely say a possession receiver is not the main cog of their offense.

You've got to be fucking kidding.

Just for comparison's sake, Watson has 116 receptions for a CAREER.

You picked out one name out of the entire offense, great point. I would take Watson for the rest of his career over Welker, no doubt about it. MAIN POINT: Welker is not, nor will he ever be the main cog of the pats offense.

I picked one name out? No no no. YOU picked his name out and I called bullshit on said name.

It's one thing to make a shitty argument. It's another to try to perpetuate it by making an even shittier argument. Congrats on doing so.

Where's Mo to judge a teams shittiness?

Okay hardass, so you would like to sit here and tell me that Wes Welker is more of a main in the Patriots' offense than Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Maroney, or the entire O-line? Seriously, I'd love for you to continue making such wonderfully eloquent points (and not arguing semantics like you've done in subsequent posts).

Yeah I'd also take Ricky Proehl Jr. in his prime over a 23 year old RB who averages 4.4 ypc and has scored 6 tds in both of his professional seasons (remember Welker only had 8 when he was supposedly the MAIN COG?). Welker has only once in his entire career amassed more than one td in an ENTIRE SEASON. Last season, on the BEST OFFENSE IN NFL HISTORY (okay, that vikes team was good too).
