Hey...If it was a Bear, I have no doubt the situation would be reversed. Matter of fact, I'd bet dollars to donuts you'd be the thread starter and the guy with the countdown sig.
no, Im smart enough torealize that a guy with the most pass attempts will be the possessor of almost all passing records and that owning the int record isnt a bad thing, especially when you have the td record to go with it.

and for the record, a bear will never possess either record, cripes they cant even keep a qb for 4 seasons in a row.

In terms of uselessness, sacks are right there with W/L records for quarterbacks.

It doesn't change the fact that the guy completely took a dive, but yeah.
except for the fact that whenever anyone talks about the success of a qb, that stat is discussed.

Well, 'cept for that Dan Marino guy not holding the interception record, thus being viable proof to the contrary.

You all know Vinny Testeverde is back playing.

He's only 16 behind!

Not a fact.

it was a roll-out, a naked bootleg, with no receivers a running play

what didn't you understand?

I'm petrified to watch Carolina news for that "Vinny Testaverde died on the field today" story. Seriously.

If Favre got hurt, and Vinny played all season, Vinny would certainly take over the top spot.

I think Favre has too much of a lead right now though.

It's clearly how he wants to go out.

I'm not sure why so many people are defending Favre about this record. We knew he would end up with it, he's never changed the way he has played since day 1. We are all falling into a trap by coming into this thread and defending him.

I was kind of hoping for a Barry Sanders 'walk away from the game' just prior to setting the record.

There's still Vinny....

Rumor is that Blanda has been contacted by the Packers just in case they rest starters at the end of the season.

Yes. A running play where you leave the guy that's just short of the single-season sack record to run completely free as the quarterback runs toward him, falls to the ground, and flops around like a fish.

It's not a lie if YOU believe it!

And in doing so, exposing the spirit of competition for the almighty dollar and attention....Sadly, when it was not needed.

Man that play irks me. Having the cheesehead of all cheeseheads do it is like a double-edged sword, because if you call it out then it has to be bias, but if you don't, well, I want to.

More passing yds than Favre, right?
A couple of fewer attempts.

How far is he behind?

So he was supposed to throw the ball and stop the clock for the Giants.

I see.
