Default Trent Green
He got hit in the head again and was stretchered off the field. I hope he's okay.

I hope he retires this time around. Save your body buddy.

Hope it isn't too bad.

Took a knee right to the head trying to make a block. Should have never happened.

The play was doomed from the start when Ginn mishandled the exchange on an end around. He should have just taken the loss but instead he tried to make something happen. Turns out he only lost more yardage AND his QB got knocked out trying to block for him.

As a Dolphins fan I don't give a shit about Quinn. I think they got the QB they really wanted in that draft.

I would have liked to see Culpepper get a chance to show if he was recovered or not and possibly build at least a little trade value. Giving up a 2nd round pick for 4 shitty games isn't really good value.

Maybe so, you can't tell me you wanted Ten Ginn with the #9 pick.

No. Can't say I was thrilled about them taking Ginn there, but not hearthbroken over them passing on Quinn at all.

Is that what AJ got for you?

I can't believe there's already an animated gif.

4 games is all we got for the 2nd that we gave up for Culpepper. AJ gave us 11 games and was part of the deal that brought in Cleo Lemon.

By Dolphins standards they made out like gangbusters in the AJ trade.

Looks like he might have figured out that he can't dance around on kickoff returns in the NFL. I hope so.

And he actually caught a pass once Lemon replaced Green. That was pretty shocking.

Seems there are a fair number of analysts out there who believe that Green's hit on Travis Johnson was dirty. Johnson certainly thought it was.

After the play he taunted Green while he lay unconscious and drew a penalty, then after the game he reiterated his stance:

"The bottom line is, it was a malicious hit. It was uncalled for," Johnson said. "He's like the scarecrow. He wants to get courage while I wasn't looking, and hit me in my knee instead of trying to hit me in my head. God don't like ugly, you know what I mean?

"My knee ain't never hurt like it hurt today," Johnson said. "If you want to hit me, hit me in my head, hit me in my chest, don't hit me in my knee. I'm trying to eat just like everybody else. So, to hit me like that, that showed me what type of man he was." What do you guys think?

I've seen many QB's block like that, I believe Favre used to do it all the time. I see nothing wrong with it.

Sadly enough, this could be the end for Green much like a number of QBs before him.

I can think of Aikman, Young, and Humphries just off the top of my head.

I don't know how serious this concussion is, but I know that the more concussions you get, the easier they happen again, and the longer they tend to linger.

Football is a violent sport, and Green has gotten a lot of mileage out of his career.

I think it was a bad block.

I'm also suprised that Green's head didn't pop off.

I meant to include this in my last post.

Green was evaluated at a local hospital and released shortly after. He was actually back at the stadium before the team left and was given clearance to fly back to Miami with the team. He's quoted as saying this one isn't even close to being as severe as the last one.

Well, that's good to hear.

Certainly many players in the NFL don't go out on their own terms.

I hope Trent eventually does before its too late.
