I meant to include this in my last post.

Green was evaluated at a local hospital and released shortly after. He was actually back at the stadium before the team left and was given clearance to fly back to Miami with the team. He's quoted as saying this one isn't even close to being as severe as the last one.
I heard the actual quote was this:

Leslie Visser: "Trent! Are you feeling after your concussion?"

Trent Green: "I'm doing fine, Mr. Gore! This one wasn't even close to as bad as the last heart attack!"

Travis Johnson is a bitch, all QBs do that, its just a cut block gone wrong, granted Green didn't do it the best of ways but there was no need to taunt an unconcious player. I'd like to see a fine slapped on his ass.

I think its bullshit. I also think its BS to taunt an injured player. If QBs are allowed to do that let them get there ass lit up without a flag being thrown for tackling to hard.

Rather than going low like that, QBs should be permitted to lay flat upon the ground so as to trip up/be spiked by another player.

If you are going to block a guy, keep it at hip level or higher.

Exactly. Ask Carson Palmer and who knows how many other QB's that have been taken out low like that if they enjoy the pain?

They no longer fear the late Andre Waters.

This is MUCH different than originally stated in this thread. Not good.

DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins quarterback Trent Green was knocked unconscious with a grade-three concussion -- the most severe -- and he'll undergo further tests on the career-threatening injury to determine his future.

ESPN Radio's Mike Golic doesn't blame Texans DL Travis Johnson for reacting as he did on Dolphins QB Trent Green because Johnson was inches from getting his knees taken out. Golic thinks the competition committee has to take a closer look at this. Listen

Green has been ruled out of Sunday's game at Cleveland a day after he was injured against Houston. Coach Cam Cameron declined to discuss the possibility the injury will prompt the 37-year-old Green to retire.

"I don't think we really know the full extent, because there are some ongoing tests," Cameron said Monday. "Right now I just think there are too many unknowns."

Green was hurt in Sunday's loss to the Texans. He was motionless on the field before being carted away and taken to a hospital, but he flew home with the team.

A severe concussion in the 2006 opener sidelined Green for half of last season when he played for the Kansas City Chiefs. Following that injury, there were concerns about his durability when the Dolphins acquired him in June.

Cleo Lemon, who replaced Green at Houston, will make his second NFL start against the Browns. The Dolphins and St. Louis Rams are the only teams with 0-5 records.

Poor Trent Green. I hope he can, at least, lead a normal life.

I think there's a good chance his playing career is done, but I guess it depends on his recovery time.

I was just going by what I read:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...ek5/index.html

King to Green, 5:14 p.m.: "peter king here. just texting to wish you well and to say hope you come out of this okay.''

Green to King, 9:06 p.m.: "Will b ok. Not like lst yr. TG.''
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3054843

But he flew home with the team, and Feely said it was difficult to tell he had been hurt.

"I was amazed at how well he felt and how coherent he was," Feely said. "He was talking the whole way on the plane flight home."

taunting the guy while he was down shouldve sparked off a melee. I didnt see everything but I dont remember hearing anything about one of Green's O-lineman nailing johnson afterward. they should have laid his ass out.

QB Trent Green to Miami in exchange for a fifth-round selection that could a become a fourth-round selection in the 2008 NFL Draft based on Green’s playing time with the Dolphins in 2007. Smells like a 5th rounder.
