Facing federal dogfighting charges, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick was offered a plea deal and has until Friday to decide whether or not he will accept it, ESPN reported Monday.
Vick’s attorneys met with federal prosecutor Michael Gill and investigators Monday afternoon and plan to discuss the quarterback’s options with him, sources told ESPN. Click here for the ESPN story. This report comes on the same day that Vick’s co-defendants, Purnell Peace and Quanis Phillips will be in court for their plea agreement hearings on Thursday and Friday. Another co-defendant, Tony Taylor, has agreed to fully cooperate with investigators. In a July 26 indictment, Vick was accused of being involved in a grisly dogfighting operation called "Bad Newz Kennels" that was run on property he owned in Surry, Va. Vick and each of his co-defendants pleaded not guilty. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,293172,00.html |

No way, shape, or form he can get out of this. 3 co-defendant all testifying against him, 4 other star witnesses putting him at the scene of dogfights. Its 7 vs 1. He's done |

Good point. And Little got a suspension that was less than a year suspension from the league. |

It may be interesting to see how much suspension Vick will get in comparison. Vick's is a higher profile case and the whole deal with dogfighting seems to get a much better organized response than a murder. |

kinda crazy that leonard little and oj are walking around free after killing people, yet it appears vick is going to jail. Noit saying that its right, just proves the fact that far too many people have their priorities in life bassackwards. |

which is the unfortunate part here, there are groups and organizations that are essentially swaying publlic opinion on a free man's freedom. |

It will indeed. I'm not going to jump the gun on guessing what the league will do. But, the media is covering Vick, a dog abuser, much, much, much more than it did Little, a person who serially drives drunk and has killed a wife and a mother as a result. Pathetic. |
