ESPN just said on the 30 minute update that his lawyers have gotten a deal of 1 year or less of jail, currently mulling it apparently. Of course it would be nice to know what the prosecution has on him as far as the witnesses who are ready to testify against Vick. That might muddy the prospect on whether to take the plea deal or not. But none-the-less, being given only one year for all the bullshit he was involved with and did that's the deal of the century. |

If Vick doesn't take that considering all that's against him, he's a dumbass. |

but, if he does take it and admits guilt, he will NEVER get another sponsorship for the rest of his life unless dog fighting becomes legal and they form a league and they need someone to speak for them. Beyond that is doubtful. If he beats the rap, he plays next season, for somebody. |

If he takes it, he won't play this year or next. I heard that they're alledging that he placed bets on the dog fights. Let alone if he takes the plea deal, he will NEVER play in the NFL again on the grounds that he gambled on it. I know he wish the XFL didn't fold. |

Not if he's convicted of gambling on the dog fights. If he takes the deal, I doubt he plays again, though it might be possible. As he gambled, but didn't bet on the NFL, he'd have grounds for reinstatement. Two NFL players were gambling in Vegas and got in a fight a couple of months ago... Joey Porter and some guy from the Bengals, I think. No issues there. Goodell could use the Gambling clause to suspend Vick for the season, but not a career banning. It wouldn't hold up in court (and you KNOW it would go there). |
