Patriots: Nothing but class

I always thought it was a bit odd how so many people talked about how classy this group of pompous, arrogant players and coaches were.

Class?

More like ass!

Seriously, if you get a guy like LT ready to slug you, one of the most mild-mannered and good sports in the entire league, then there's some serious issues.

I hope they get destroyed by the Colts.

viiagrag 01-15-2007 06:51 PM

I thought LT looked like he was about to blow.....was wondering the reason for that, other than being beat by the underdogs.

WUlcN1Rz 01-15-2007 07:24 PM

It takes a lot of class to call a guy "Vanderjerk" and question his class and maturity.

Maybe class isn't the word I'm looking for.

Dastyh 01-15-2007 07:53 PM

I worked at the SB between Philly and NE.

The people I talked to down there who had to escort these guys told me that the Eagles were classy and the Pats were arrogant pricks.

I heard this from several people at different times.

Bletlemof 01-15-2007 07:59 PM

Act like you've been there before.

I thought it was all of the NE http://www.sports-boards.net/forums/...s/rolleyes.png

Finally people see how arrogant the Pats are.

I liked the way Rivers handled it when questioned. He's a very mature and confident guy for his age, unlike the guy he was traded for. Eor Manning.

Anyone know who did the dance?

Yeah I was going to say maybe the attitude has been instilled in them through the years in Boston. Most people I've met from there have acted like the world belonged to them.

Bruschi gets his ass kissed every game, and he's nothing but a reserve on any other team.

You could even see it in the Bears/Seahawks game. Deion Branch was acting like a huge dickwad. Couple all this evidence with Belichick's assault of that photog last week, and it shows you what kind of team they are.

Don't forget how he handled being beaten by a former assistant coach.

Care to fill me in?

oneliRafmeene 01-15-2007 09:16 PM

why do people have a problem with this?

lemme ask you guys this.

any of you ever played a flag football game with friends? ever talk shit to your boy after you just burnt him deep?

fuck man, i was rooting for the chargers and i love LT, but seriously stop acting like a damn pussy. don't mess around with a team when you have them beat and let them back in it and this doesn't happen. it's their own fault. noone else to blame. any you want to talk about class? how about that CB who decided to go ape shit and headbutt another player?

win the game, and this doesn't happen. stop crying when you get beat. it's almost like they don't care they lost, but rather, care more that the other team was owning them on their homefield.

once again, win the game, and this doesn't happen.

bullshit. stop crying. who cares? it's sports and this shit happens. don't let them get that chance and it doesn't happen. you mean to tell me that Merriman doesn't act an asshole if they win in NE? gimme a break. they are crying because they got beat. NE has every right to rename the stadium. only team to beat them there this year. fucking pussies.

I believe it's about acting like a professional athlete and taunting is forbidden.

These guys are professionals. Not a group of friends that got together in my backyard for the sole purpose of having fun while talking shit.

The problem isn't that they're not classy, it's the fact that people, for some reason, think they are. There are plenty of teams that aren't classy. For the most part, it is well recognized. The Patriots get a free pass for some reason.

That's the point.

right. i forgot. people aren't allowed to show happiness anymore in this game. completely forbidden.

look, it is what it is. in a perfect world, they all go to church after the game and pray for world peace.

then reality sets in and the players realize that they are one step closer to achieving the only thing that matters in their sport.

NFL executives are not only taking the fun out of the game, but turning the fans into a bunch of PC crybabies. win the game, and they don't celebrate.
