That was one heck of a throw by Harrington to Roy Williams.
Might like to try that play again. |
Still no definite word on Rogers, just that hes out for the rest of the game. Bly, on the other hand, has ligament damage in his knee. It was just on the radio.
|
Yes and no.
Looks very good sometimes. Some other times he just seems to disappear. Still wouldn't mind having him on the Pack, though. |
Wasn't our team supposed to be all offense and no defense? This is like the twilight zone.
|
Goes back to being undisciplined, ryno. Terrell was doing the same sh!t last year.
Don't mind playing with passion and fire, but when you do flat out do dumb things like giving the ball to a Lion on the sideline after a big play . . . its inexcusable. What is the point? |
For all you gamblers, taking the line on this game is a no-brainer. Lions win outright, much less getting three.
As for the two rookie playmakers, well there's always the Cowboys from the late 80s, when they went from 1-15 to Super Bowl in a handful of years because of a succession of quality drafts. Irvin in 88, Aikman in 89, Smith in 90, etc. Of course, that doesn't count because it's Dallas, right? Jeez. What a maroon. |

Don't get me wrong, i think the Vikes did more than enough on defense to give them a legit shot at the division, I just don't think Winfield is as good as people make him out to be. Dont believe me? Just ask some Buffalo fans. |
I dunno, ryno. Considering the area I was going though (Brookfield), for all I know it was hers. Might not have the concept yet of earning what you have.

Mariucci is damn lucky the Bear didn't win that game.
Dumbest decision making I've ever seen by a head coach in the last quarter of a football game!!!! BUT ITS A "W" FOR YOURS TRULY!! http://www.sports-boards.net/forums/...lies/smile.png |
Keep in mind that "ligament damage" is pretty broad. It could be a stretch, could be a strain, could be a pull...
Or it could be a rupture, a partial/full tear...obviously you hope for the former. They aren't going to know this quickly. It's just an easy diagnosis that when a guy can't put weight on a leg and nothing is broken, it's ligament damage. |
With both boards connnected, let the gamethread begin!
|
Charles Rogers is starting to become the Ki-Jana Carter of wideouts.
|
Except the one he let his receiver get absolutely annhialated by Bly.
YIKES!!!!! |
holy crap, talk about a slow developing play ! you could have timed that runback with a calender.

urlacher makes one hell of an anchor huh?
when he latches on to a runner, the runner slows down quick. |
While not professing to be a Bear fan, I do keep up with them. As I stated in a post in the Bear forum a couple of days ago, the key to the Bears winning is playing old time Bear football until Grossman gets up to speed.
Running Thomas Jones will, of course, be critical. If they can't, the Bear receivers are just a bunch of names. Terrell really doesn't scare anybody, yet. If they Lions can put up an early . . . 10 or 13 points, IMO the Bear doesn't have the firepower to rebound from double digit deficits. Really like the Lions getting 3 here. |

1) Rogers hasn't been around long enough to reach the heights of injury Ki-Jana got to and 2) Nobody saw the injuries coming with Carter. There was no way to really predict that happening. Rogers, on the other hand, SCREAMED injury. From his size, to the medical reports at the Combine that stated looseness in his joints...he had some red flags along the same lines as Snoop Minnis...difference is, Snoop wasn't media hyped, so he fell quite a ways. |
