That was one heck of a throw by Harrington to Roy Williams.

Might like to try that play again.

Amorsesombabs 05-31-2006 07:00 AM

Still no definite word on Rogers, just that hes out for the rest of the game. Bly, on the other hand, has ligament damage in his knee. It was just on the radio.

VotsUtegems 06-16-2006 07:00 AM

Yes and no.

Looks very good sometimes. Some other times he just seems to disappear. Still wouldn't mind having him on the Pack, though.

dasneycomrov 06-19-2006 07:00 AM

Wasn't our team supposed to be all offense and no defense? This is like the twilight zone.

Clielldub 06-20-2006 07:00 AM

Goes back to being undisciplined, ryno. Terrell was doing the same sh!t last year.

Don't mind playing with passion and fire, but when you do flat out do dumb things like giving the ball to a Lion on the sideline after a big play . . . its inexcusable.

What is the point?

wCYvMKAc 06-29-2006 07:00 AM

For all you gamblers, taking the line on this game is a no-brainer. Lions win outright, much less getting three.

As for the two rookie playmakers, well there's always the Cowboys from the late 80s, when they went from 1-15 to Super Bowl in a handful of years because of a succession of quality drafts. Irvin in 88, Aikman in 89, Smith in 90, etc.

Of course, that doesn't count because it's Dallas, right?

Jeez. What a maroon.

Of course Vikings fans will argue that THEY got the best "cover corner" in FA to go with one of the best "playmaking" corners in the league last year. http://www.sports-boards.net/forums/...ilies/wink.png
Honestly, I cant see how it could be argued that winfield was the best cover corner available last year. The guy couldnt even hold down a starting corner spot last year with his own team(unless you count the nickle back as a starter).

Don't get me wrong, i think the Vikes did more than enough on defense to give them a legit shot at the division, I just don't think Winfield is as good as people make him out to be. Dont believe me? Just ask some Buffalo fans.

newwebstar 07-06-2006 07:00 AM

I dunno, ryno. Considering the area I was going though (Brookfield), for all I know it was hers. Might not have the concept yet of earning what you have.

They are saying its the shoulder they are x-raying. He broke his collarbone last year. No updates yet
bummer. good luck.

lopezsokero 07-10-2006 07:00 AM

Mariucci is damn lucky the Bear didn't win that game.

Dumbest decision making I've ever seen by a head coach in the last quarter of a football game!!!!

BUT ITS A "W" FOR YOURS TRULY!! http://www.sports-boards.net/forums/...lies/smile.png

ZZipZZipe 07-12-2006 07:00 AM

Keep in mind that "ligament damage" is pretty broad. It could be a stretch, could be a strain, could be a pull...

Or it could be a rupture, a partial/full tear...obviously you hope for the former. They aren't going to know this quickly. It's just an easy diagnosis that when a guy can't put weight on a leg and nothing is broken, it's ligament damage.

Tnzxovoz 07-15-2006 07:00 AM

With both boards connnected, let the gamethread begin!

obHQNsY2 07-31-2006 07:00 AM

Charles Rogers is starting to become the Ki-Jana Carter of wideouts.

Carfanate 08-04-2006 07:00 AM

Except the one he let his receiver get absolutely annhialated by Bly.

YIKES!!!!!

KinicsBonee 08-05-2006 07:00 AM

holy crap, talk about a slow developing play ! you could have timed that runback with a calender.

LOL

WOW!!!!

If they're not going to call defensive holding on the play going to commercial that Tillman was shown doing, they'll never call it!!!

Jeez, he basically folded, spindled and then mutilated that Lion receiver!!!
do you think the refs were told to turn down the volume on the holding calls?

amberamuletuk 08-08-2006 07:00 AM

urlacher makes one hell of an anchor huh?
when he latches on to a runner, the runner slows down quick.

NADALA 08-08-2006 07:00 AM

While not professing to be a Bear fan, I do keep up with them. As I stated in a post in the Bear forum a couple of days ago, the key to the Bears winning is playing old time Bear football until Grossman gets up to speed.

Running Thomas Jones will, of course, be critical. If they can't, the Bear receivers are just a bunch of names. Terrell really doesn't scare anybody, yet.

If they Lions can put up an early . . . 10 or 13 points, IMO the Bear doesn't have the firepower to rebound from double digit deficits.

Really like the Lions getting 3 here.

Roy Williams is out of his mind. No way he should have caught that pass. But still what a catch!!!!
that's the kind of catch people remember for a long, long time.

I wouldn't go that far. There are two significant differences between them:

1) Rogers hasn't been around long enough to reach the heights of injury Ki-Jana got to and

2) Nobody saw the injuries coming with Carter. There was no way to really predict that happening. Rogers, on the other hand, SCREAMED injury. From his size, to the medical reports at the Combine that stated looseness in his joints...he had some red flags along the same lines as Snoop Minnis...difference is, Snoop wasn't media hyped, so he fell quite a ways.
