Sitting on the couch here, reading a book and listening to the Musical score for the BSG series. Bear McCreary did an amazing job on these scores. Yes, they are all similar, and some of them can be fluff pieces but there are so many GOOD themes in there.
Starbuck on the Red Moon Admiral and Commander. Storming New Caprica Lords of Kobal ..... So many amazing pieces in there. Listening to the tunes and thinking of the scenes they were used it makes me remember just how good the series was. I've got some downtime this weekend and don't plan on going anywhere as I need to save up some money so I can buy a new Short Block for the Transam to replace the engine. But thats ALOT of TV to watch. 4 season could take me a while. Sure, I could watch just an episode here or there, but each episode leads into the next thats its hard to just watch one of them. |

I do have to add Kat's Sacrifice to my list. That episode was so depressing, Kat was a character you either loved or hated, but in the end felt sad for. Kara certainly came out the villain in that argument between the two.
As for Kara Remembers, I do love that track, it starts out so soft then builds into the theme. So awesome. I think if you have a Sub-woofer and a good Stereo then "Storming New Caprica" needs to be one of your Demo tracks for people. And I love Bear's cover of All Along the Watch Tower. And Prelude to War. Gargh! Too many good songs!! _________ Side note, has anyone listened to the Rips from Stargate Universe? Jerry Goldsmith struck some gold with that Score. Wish they'd actually release them. |
