Those last two are so precious! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...s/loveicon.gif
(well, they're all precious but those are my favorites) |
The very first b&w and the last photo of the royal tush are adorable!

Marci, I love your photos! Even taking the ones inspired by your grams had their own unique qualities. Excellent!!

Thanks for the lovely comments!! I'm excited to go back and take more of her. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

Thanks so much, Cee! You always have such nice things to say.
I have a few portraits to share! The ones from the cemetery are from the fall. I love fall in my home town. It's always such a beautiful and inspiring place. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...r/f3dad61a.jpg Brother dear. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...r/88e3b4f5.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...r/009d1ff6.jpg I normally prefer color, but I think the b&w works better in this situation. The sun was setting, so I'm not loving the tones. Thoughts? http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...r/80de22d7.jpg More from Emily on page 1... http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...r/ee956268.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...r/bffb9195.jpg Even though this photo isn't my favorite, I think it perfectly illustrates her character. She's hilarious and makes me crack up non-stop! |
One of my favorite spots! The view from Skinner Mountain in MA; overlooking Hadley, Northampton and the Connecticut River.

So pretty!

Thanks Barb! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../loveicon2.gif
I used the area as part of my Dream Project that I made during school. If you look at the large area for farm land in the above photo, you'll see a small formation of trees. This is where I was. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...g?t=1300838497 One of my favorite photographers, Joel Sternfeld, photographed the area around the same time, and put out a book called the Oxbow Archive. If you happen to come across it, you should check it out. It's my holy grail of books. (Joel and I photographed the same area in the same month and year. We could have easily bumped into each other, though I wouldn't have known who he was. (Kinda mind blowing in a photo geek perspective!) |
^^ Love the colors and composition in this one

A severe yet quick storm rolled in this evening. The clouds caught my eye, so I ran out onto our balcony.

Three hours of scanning negatives tonight. It was the first time in three years, so I scanned my little heart out. More to follow.
This is the house I grew up in. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo.../loveicon2.gif http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...g?t=1299559939 |
Right out of a Jonh Hughes movie.

That shot and the snow makes the house look like a miniature model to me. And even though this isn't the pet pic thread, I love the photos of your pets and your recent descriptions of their personalities. Clara's a scene stealer, but after your descriptions I think Dora's become my favorite http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif.
