Default Should a brand new lens/lens covering be perfect?
I've just received a fresh unopened Sony 18-250mm contact, which changed my original 18-250 which I delivered as a result of simple, but very noticeable flaw under the top of the glass. I don't know whether I'm being over-sensitive here, however the alternative has countless really small imperfections throughout it. It type of looks like good dirt, but it undoubtedly isn't detachable with my LensPen, and actually looks like it perhaps underneath the glass. I'm thinking it perhaps a problem with the covering. The scars are just visible under sunlight or strong inside light. I possibly could not say whether my initial contact had this issue or not. It's probably a foolish question, but shouldn't a brand new contact be totally perfect? Or am I fretting about nothing?
