European KMZ's Iskra from the first 60s. It's a format 6x6 rangefinder. Here is the first rangefinder that I've possessed and it's very difficult to obtain used to the split-screen focussing, but it really seems a lit faster than focussing with some of my SLRs (personally, clearly). You are able to type of observe how it operates in this picture: The touch to the left is the concentrating area which goes right and left whenever you change the concentrate on the contact. The picture is in focus when both pictures are arranged. It weighs a great deal, but it also feel durable and good, I love the look also. The Lens is a f3.5 "Industar" - The contact is presumably built from glass that was taken by the russians from the Zeiss factory in WW2 and the very fact it's a correct copy of a Tessar appears to help that. I've just run one roll of film (slip) through it but it appears to be working ok, irrespective of several small quirks. When I have them produced some results will be posted by me.
