Although I do agree flobots its great music, i have heard the album and it is phenomenal.
Real top notch stuff, check it out if you got the time.

I consider them to be a mixture of Rage Against the Machine because of their politically armed lyrics mixed with N.E.R.D. for their hip-hop sound with live instruments. I can also see the Cake influence, now that you mention it.
