A battle is when several sigs are entered in a sort of mini-contest. Members vote on their favorite sig in the battle. (We will edit/add rules as we get this going.)

Sigs must be made by you - no nicking them off the Web. You can use older sigs if you want - you don't have to make new sigs especially for the battle.
- One sig per person.
- Voting takes place when the battlet closes.
- Sigs have to be submitted in standard image form ( [ img ] )
- Max size for sigs 600 pixels wide by 100 pixels high. Max file size will be 100 kb.*
-There will be one week for submitions and one week for voting.

*To be able to see the full quality of your signature.

Submition Date: 7 days or June 28-July 5
Voting Date: 7 days or July 6 - July 16
Theme: Anything Goes (to see how it goes)

Seems a bit pointless if there is no theme?

How do we compete or show our skill if we dont have some constraint to work to, or an idea to visualise in our own way?

EDIT: I dont mean to offend or to rain on your parade, I just think its easier to have a 'battle' when there is some common ground and the images have a theme. Makes deciding who should win easier for people too. Without anything theme how do you choose which sig is the best?

I allready started on mine, don't you spoil it!

You would probably think of an awkward theme, making sure none of the pics look any good... no, no theme, just good looking sigs, and if that makes voting harder, tough ****.

Im not out to spoil it, I just posted what I think would make a better 'battle'.

I'll reiterate; a common theme would just make it easier (for users to make and others to judge, IMHO).

Random sigs just seem pointless, IMHO.

No need to change the theme on my account!

I guess if you dont want to win, nor add something creative, new and beautifull, then, old sigs it is for you....

A shame really, i allways look forward to see what you guys come up with, and now that there is no theme, 'artistic freedom' should max out the results.

Why couldn't I win and add something creative and beautiful? Some of my old sigs fit all of those criteria IMO and what do you care? You've probably never even seen them before, what difference does it make if they are old or new?

Nope, neither does the FM user database it seem.

Lots of good sig artists on the forum now that can compete with the older sig artists.

Charon, Teamster, Commodore were but a few who made excellent sigs back in the day.
