Two F-16 fighter jets of the Netherland Air Force have forced an Airbus A320 (flight number VY8366) plane of a Spanish low cost airline with passengers on board to land at Schiphol Airport. Police and military have have surrounded the plane and there is apparently no radio contact with the captain. News reports say that there is a hostage situation.

Some report suggest that there is no hostage situation and there was some misunderstanding between the pilot and the ATC.
