Sam Pitroda is the new caste face of congress party
"Twenty years back Rajiv Gandhi thought of bringing mobilr phones to India. Do you know who brought them? Sam Pitroda, who is a Vishkarma, 'Barahi' (carpenter). He bought mobile phones to your houses."
Rahul gandhi, in the rally of "most backwards" in Akbarpur area of Ramabai Nagar, on Saturday, 17 Dec 2011.
1. Sam pitroda, must be from the most backward community from that area, as his name was referred to in the rally; not clear whether the attendees could place sam pitrods.
2. Sam pitroda had nothing to do with mobile phones. His company developed small rural electronic exchanges and these were installed. Rahul gandhi is ignorant of the growth of telecom industry or has been briefed badly.
3. The silver lining is, the most backward people have mobile phones in their houses; good progress.

Sure, sure. Caste divisions must be made stronger, and Cong has the longest tradition in this regard.
Who cares about his cate? Do even people know about his caste?

Posted for information.
The Adhaalath Party, a Maldives Islamic group, who supports the newly elected President Mohamed Waheed, stated that the constitution does not allow idols anywhere in Maldives. Maldives also does not permit non-muslims to become permanent citizens of the small island nation.
Of those destroyed, many Buddhist and Hindu relics were smashed and broken to pieces making them merely unrecognizable.
35 Invaluable Hindu and Buddhist Statues Destroyed in Maldives by Extremist Islamic Group | The Chakra News
Any surprise? Maldive is so islamic that non muslims are not given citizenship.
"It is now perfectly legal for a woman to retain her maiden name after marriage."
"The radical rule says that "a wife who has not changed her name after marriage, by publishing in the official gazette, may continue to use her maiden name". The law is clear now: a woman is not obliged to take her husband's name after marriage. "
Good move; we are getting back to our old ways. Sitaram refers to Rama and not Sita.

Now, women can retain their maiden name - The Times of India
As was in ancient times. Karna is better known as Radhya, Radha's son. Radha did have an indepent ID.

Yes, in our society, the women kept their maiden names and the identity of 'piranda veedu (birth house). Sita ram refers to rama and not sita. Addind such surnames is another unwanted inheritance from the british raj.

That the majority of Indian media don't exhibit even an iota of journalistic ethics such as truthfulness, objectivity, impartiality, and public accountability is well known.

But Times of India has reached a new nadir.

In AP, the congress party is carrying out a political witch hunt against Jagan Reddy, the leader of YSR congress. YSR, while he lived, was a popular politician credited for the revival of congress in AP. There are a spate of corruption charges against him but all was fine as long as he was with congress. After his demise, a struggle emerged between congress national leadership and Jagan, son of YSR. Obviously no one shall be allowed to get bigger than the Gandhi family and congress is using CBI and other executive branches to silence Jagan.

In the backdrop of CBI inquiries on Jagan, the media is being used to mobilize public opinion against Jagan.

A couple of days ago, Times published an article on supposedly oppulent life of Jagan. The idea is to show how Jagan is stinking rich in a country where a significant majority live in utter poverty. This is the easiest trick in the world - mobilizing socialist rage against rich political opponents!

For a glimpse on the article, refer to:
Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

The article shows a group of photos supposedly taken inside Jagan's residence and other properties that he own.

This is all fine only that the alert social media (i.e. citizens of the blogosphere and twitter world) quickly found out that most, if not all, of these pictures were fake.
Refer below:
Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

This is the extent to which certain political parties of India and their puppet media will go to undermine political rivals. Times of India pulled down the article but only after the expose.

In any developed country, such blatant lying will be frowned upon. In India, there is not a discussion in main-stream because they are all in cahoots!

The futute of India looks pretty bleak!

Our defence minister may be poor, but his wife is not!!!

"The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has purchased eight paintings of Elizabeth Antony, wife of defence minister A K Antony, for an undisclosed sum and intends to display thepaintingsat select airports in the country.

"Two of Elizabeth's artworks already adorn the new international terminal at Thiruvananthapuram. Though she herself chose to keep mum on the price tag, sources said that the AAI paid a mind-boggling sum of Rs. 28 crore for the paintings, putting her in the league of artists such as Tyeb Mehta whose 'Celebration' became the first modern Indian artwork to fetch Rs.1.5 crore in an auction at Christie's in 2002. Ironically, little is known about Mrs. Antony's artistic talent.

"I would not like to disclose details of the buyers of my paintings and the amount they paid for them," Elizabeth told Mail Today. She did admit, though, that a few of her paintings were picked up by AAI

Rs.28 cr for paintings made by Defence Minister's wife!
Dear Sarang,

That news proved to be false.

It is the usual case of Indian media spinning theories.

The facts are:

1. She is a hobby painter.
2. She has a trust and and has a site which lists activities of the trust.
3. AAI has bought 4 of her paintings for 2.5 lakhs.

What is not verified is the amount paid by the AAI and the money donated by her to cancer support activities. If she clarifies these with supporting proof by AAI and by the exhibition organizer, all will be clear. Normally price of paintings is revealed, but not the buyer; ulta here.

Defense minister Antony was considered as candidate for the presidential race; he may still be a future option.

India today has conveniently removed the news item, without any comment or even sorry for posting a 'wrong' story. Just deleting the story from the server solves all problems. But copies are available in several other servers and local pcs thanks to internet.
