"Can we please list the albums/movies from 2000 and find out who is the FLOP FATHER of TFM? Because that one is easy to predict "

Mr.Judge, Lets compile the number of movies which had music by Rahman and YSR from 2000(The so called lean patch of Rahman). I bet Yuvan will have atleast released 5 to 10 albums for every Rahman's album..But his total sales count wont be even one tenth that of Rahman's. His total sales of all the albums combined wont probably equal the sales of Boys.
And even after releasing just 2 albums in last two years ,he is the most sought after MD. All the big budget movies, all the big directors go to Rahman. Still he is the highest paid Music Director in India and for your info in Tamil industry too. Tat was not the case when Rahman came into field. All the biggies went to Rahman and he clearly took the top slot on the yr he made it into the film industry. He hit the bulls eye right away..
As a music fan I wud like some body else to come into TFM and do some thing new and original, than jus copying the Rap songs and calling themselves ultra modern. Till then Rahman wud remain the king of TFM and Indian music. For copying and making music 10 yrs back we had Deva, then we had Vidyasagar and now "YSR". Tomorrow somebody else will come. But counting the real MD's we had MSV, Followed by Illayaraja and then Rahman..Next is yet to come...
Good sibicalls,

Enna Sanjeevi, unmaya ketka kastamaa irukkaa.. ??

Mr. Rashid...have u ever listened to Naalai songs??? Your selection of albums seems to project you as a very immature person solely serving to your biased self.

If there is anyone who doesnt deserve to nominate albums for flops of the year...it should definitely be you!
reagan, if Naalai songs aren't flop then they won't get any votes at all.. huh ?? Don't worry, keep cool..

Whats wrong with Nee Venumda Chellame??? the movie has great songs. Esp the title song is making waves. Dhina has improved a lot on technical front.

(Well i guess its not by Rehman)
Just because you feel that godfather is good dun mean its a hit.
Nominate it here and let other people decide.

3. AIBI - YSR

4. Naalai - Karthik Raja
5. Nee Venunda Chellame - Dhina
6. Jerry - Ramesh Vinayagam

7. Thalainagaram - D.Imman
8. Illavattam - Manisharma
9. Aacharya - Srikanth Deva

Don't worry if you haven't heard any of these albums.. don't despair! That's the trademark of an original FLOP ALBUM!!

Okay, vote!
After seeing Jerry Madhu AIBI Naalai and Illavattam in the list...i just believe that our rashid2raj seems to have gone abit too far fetched...Jerry has a excellent melody mind you and AIBI is very different from usualy YSR albums..nominating Naalai is one of the worst things i have heard after the classic melodies of oru maatram and arai adi dhoorathil. Illavattam is a decent attempt by mani sharma and Madhu is very good unless you hate classical melodies which are totally WCM and soft. I've got to agree with what Hulkster is trying to point out. This rashid2raj doesnt seem to have enough knowlegde in music to appreciate those albums. Its just as simple as that.

Reagan, i guess i got more music knowledge than you! Well, i can't see your problem ?? This was all those albums that I and NOT YOU, it was ME who felt that these albums weren't good.. That's why I chosed them! It's MY OWN OPINION, and if you don't feel comfortable with my selection of albums then why participate, and why even response to this thread?? *LOL* I appreciate people as Rajasaranam to not participate in this thread! As i listed IR's Madhu, they might be angry but they just kept quiet.. Way to go

Nominate it here and let other people decide. Never did i say that AIBI or Naalai was a flop! Infact AIBI had some good songs, & kanave song by YSR was hit. But as the movie flopped the audio also were forgotten That's why i nominated it! .. I just nominated them, to let people choose ... And neighter am i the right person to discuss if godfather is a hit or not
