I think same sex marriages are legale in Canada, But it is simple to separate when you live to getter so why would any one of the same sex want the legale problems of a divorce.

Prasertsit,
Thank-you for your post. I am now in Thailand again just trying to get a passport for my wife's 8 year old daughter and even that is proving to be difficult. Khonrai is correct. If you have the money, try the student visa route. I certainly do not have wealth but I have been saving up enough money to sponsor both my wife and daughter on a student visa. It seems our only possibility and I hope it works. I wish you all the luck. I am glad that you have found that true love sometimes comes in a package we hadn't considered.
I must say I hate labels such as "queer", "lesbian", "homosexual" or even "heterosexual" because for me, I just love who I love, be it man or woman. It just so happens that I am drawn to women more than men. People who are closed-minded to such ideals and try to push their religious constraints on people like us who open our hearts have no idea the lengths we must go to for love. I wonder, would some of those people give up everything for love like you are willing to do? Would they travel across the globe over and over to be with the one they love despite the loss of wages or detrimental effects on their job or time away from their family and friends? We are fighting for our hearts, and it is the hardest thing I have ever had to endure.
When people with full rights are enjoying birthdays and christmas' and watching their children take their first steps or are simply watching them grow up...we are losing out on all of that time. We are are far away missing the magical moments of life with them. Every time I return to Thailand m daughter is a little bit older and i've missed that time with her. It breaks my heart.
Good luck to you. I wish you all the best. We all deserve happiness. I am glad you found yours.

I can not believe in SIN in the religious sense, I think Homosexual [queer] behavior is a sin as is a Muslim eating HOG, or Pedophilia, Cannibalism and incest as a sin, as Leprosy was once a sin and should be treated the same way leprosy was treated, with either death or complete isolation from a healthy population, or with stoning as was set as religious punishment.
Pedophiles are a bad thing, queer pedophiles are a lot worse..It is a long step from normal to phedophile, but a short step from queer to phedophile because you are already half way there.
Wow. I've always thought you were a pretty sound and intelligent person, but you've just blown me away! For a start, your repeated use of the derogatory word queer pretty much shows you're not going to be demonstrating rational and reasoned views... confirmed when you claim that homosexuality is halfway to paedophilia. Or pedophilia to use the American spelling, or phedophilia according to you. Let's settle on pheadophilea.

Pheadophilea is the sexual attraction to pre-pubescent children. Homosexuality is the sexual attraction to pubescent members of the same sex. That's all. It's not sexual attraction to ANYONE of the same sex - just as heterosexuality isn't sexual attraction to anyone of the opposite sex.

The phaedophile-homosexual link is groundless and based entirely on ignorance.

If you could provide any concrete reason why homosexuality or homosexual marriage is actually harmful, please do! To get you started, here are some of the arguments you will present:

1) It's not natural: Bear in mind you say this while typing on your computer, which may be powered by a nuclear power plant. You are safe in the knowledge that if the screen explodes and you are hospitalised you can have a blood transfusion and if necessary a prosthetic eye.

2) The Bible says it's wrong: The bible also says eating anything that crawls or creeps along the ground is wrong, as well as anything that lives on land and in water... have you eaten insects? snakes? frogs? shellfish? All wrong according to the Bible. Ever touched a woman when she's on her period and not washed your hands? Also wrong, according to the bible.

3) They can't make babies: All contraception should be wrong as well.

Though I trust you will provide some more creative and unsubstantiated phaedophile links so I look forward to those.

Deknoi, the person you are replying to (FaranginPhetch) has been an inactive member for a while now, he won't be coming back to answer, probably won't read it at all. he is also 80 or so years old. it is not an excuse but it does explain a thing or two. I guess we will be extremely outdated and offensive with some of the views we now hold normal in about 50 or 60 years down the line.

HI
Prasertsit

Have you looked at getting her a work visa or student visa.
with the immigration laws sometimes you have to be creative.
If you have enough money. Post a job that only she can fill.

We were looking at immigrating my wifes 22 yr old daughter to USA
the time frame for visa for child over 21 is about 5 to 6 yrs

but she can come over as a nanny with out much wait time.

but with your lover 's name now being in the "system" it may be much harder for you.

Good luck

hello,

same sex mariage as been LEGAL AND VALID for about 5 years now.

this grants the same protections to both husbands in accordance with all state and federal laws.

this status makes the person Admissible to all benefits to widowers, death benefits, and applies to immigration applications.

take care guys !

I think there was a small article on Monday saying this guy from Australia married a ladyboy in Korat recently. It also mentioned sin sot of 100,000 baht and some gold but I've no idea why the need to mention they will be moving to stay in a 9 million baht home in Australia.

I don't think same sex marriage is legal in Thailand. Probably just a ceremonial marriage.

I don't think intra-sex marriages are even legalised in the US as yet, is it?
