Unfortunately Paul's visit has been postponed. Australian cultural icon Marcia Hines, mother of Deni Hines has had Paul charged with misrepresenting himself as a member of the Hines family. He has had some trouble convincing the authorities of his alternative spelling philosophy and that he really meant Highness. Probably just as well because if they believed him he would be in even more trouble.

The National Source
October 29th, 2003

Prime Minister of Thailand prepares Bangkok for an anticipated visit.

The Prime Minister of Thailand, Thaksin Shinnawatara, has assembled a special task force to prepare for the arrival of His Hines, Paul_au, crown prince of Australia, in March 2004.

Among other things, the task force has decided to declare a two day holiday during the crown prince's visit in order to ease Bangkok's congested traffic. Also on the list of things to do: persons in Bangkok with body-odor exceeding legal limits will be rounded up and sent back to their homes for showers. Any non-Thai nationals among the odor-offenders will be sent back to their respective countries for baths. In addition, all stray birds that have not been registered with Bangkok authorities will be gathered and shipped off to a bird sanctuary in another province where they will be nutered, cleaned, fed, and registered with authorities.

"We really want to make a good impression on Paul_au" says Paiboon Intarong, a member of Thakin's special task force.

No, no!
Thats fully OK, no problem there.
He will enjoy his stay to the fullest. He will perfectly fit into Thai society in his particular state of mind.
No problem really, thats just about normal here.

When I went to Thailand I flew in Economy class for 3 days and slept on the floor in airport termainals across the world.

When I got to Thailand I stayed with some Thais in the poor part of town and slept on concrete floors. Sometimes there were cockroaches too.

Needless to say my trip was excellent and full of character building endevors.

luxery is for losers

I could not agree more. I used to stay in a suite in Pattaya, now I prefer to stay with my wife's relatives in Sahatsakhan. There is no air conditioning, no running water in the shower, there is a asian-style "squat" toilet, and all the food is prepared daily by loving hands. I sleep on the best bed in the house, which is a plywood platform with a 6" foam mattress.

The physical sensations, the smells, the closeness with the family, the trips to the local market (big market only open twice per month), and the slow pace really make the trip a more "Thai" experience.

I do not understand why farang want to stay in luxury hotels, eat food farang, play golf, and do everything else they can do in their home country. Why bother going to Thailand? Maybe they go for the nightlife, then go back home and talk bad about Thai women???

I agree with Vision on this one, this is how I lived with my former girlfriends family in Samute Prakan, but when I go to Thailand this time I will not have a girlfriend to go back to. So I will be staying In 5 star. It will be cheaper for me to stay in 5 star luxury as my accommodation is being sponsored, and I will not have all of my former girlfriends relatives to pay for when going out to dinner at the MK Hot Pot restraunt at Samrong's Imperial World every 2nd night.

Make sure that "our Singapore pals" do not bring along their wives, girlfriends, sisters or mothers to meet him. This freak will do anything to boost his sex ego on this Thai forum after his trip. On the other hand he might just end up being the deadmeat "meal" for our Singapore pals.
