Only a liddle iddy biddy bit ever washes up on the beach tho. Like a drop in the ocean, so to speak.

fine white sand on the beaches is from the dead coral - but it takes some time. it does belong there. the prohibition applies to all marine national parks in Thailand.

Default Can't take coral from marine park beaches
I was in a marine park once and found some nice pieces of coral washed up on the beach. I wanted to take them home to decorate my garden but was told it is illegal to take it away. This was Koh Samet.
I was quite surprised since it is basically dead stuff on the beach; like taking a pine cone from a forest.
