A barbie doll or something like that would be popular. She is probably a bit too young for a colouring book. But crayons wouldn't hurt. You can buy cheap colouring books here.

If I think a kid's book is nice. Whatever - it should be colourful, nice to hold and throw around or store!
I agree. Last weekend I got my 2-year old nephew two very attractive educational board books --one on colors, and the other on shapes. He absolutely loves them!

In addition, I also got him a cd on famous nursery rhymes. He sways with the music.

Young ladies of any age will love you forever if you take them to buy a special dress or a pair of shoes.

Both quite inexpensive in Thailand, and more highly appreciated than practical gifts in my experience, if not as beneficial to the recipient.

Personally,I think the children need good book which be useful for their learning skill....Oh! shouldn't forget to buy choccolate too.

I'm not into stereotyping little girls from a young age, to enforce them into a roll in later life. A toy car not only looks good, but it is some thing that can be pushed a long and give them an activity. Good for boys and girls.

If you buy a toy car make sure its got nice rubber tyres which make little noise. The kid opposite my flat is driving me mad making 100 trips an hour every afternoon. With a gap of 25 seconds between each turnaround! LOLZ

Sorry, for this distracting note. I think a kid's book is nice. Whatever - it should be colourful, nice to hold and throw around or store! I used to really like those erasable canvases alongwith all colour pens we could scribble with.
