I am new to the website. I am an American living with my Thai wife in California. We are thinking about moving to live in Thailand. If I retire before I move, I have heard that there may be a problem in getting a Work Visa for Thailand because I will be retired?

Anyone know about this?

That's correct
You can not get the work permit, if you have the retirement visa.(O-A, I believe) Retirement means exactly just that, over here.

If you will be working, then get the marriage visa (NoN-O, I believe)
