3 Karnataka techies drown

Chennai: A Sunday evening at the Tiruvanmiyur beach in Chennai turned tragic for three software engineers from Karnataka. They ventured into the sea to retrieve a tennis ball and drowned.
They were identified as G Praveen (21) of Gayathri Nagar in Bangalore, D Sakthi (21) of Somawarpet in Kodagu district and N Anand Bhushan (21) of Channarayapatna in Hassan district. They had just joined Cognizant Technology Solutions in Chennai after being selected in campus interviews and had not even got their first month's salary, police said.
