Dear Friends on the Forum,
We have already heard how you can order your vegetables online; relax at home while they are being delivered right at your doorstep. Now you can receive your pension the same way- at your doorstep. While this era of doorstep deliveries are just gaining an unprecedented momentum your old age can never be helpless or hopeless. It won’t be long before people are offered home based jobs, distant learning, home schooling and many more revolutionary ideas so that you hardly need to step out of your front door for any of your basic needs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This move is supposed to prevent old aged persons, destitute women and handicapped persons in the state from pilferage and end the hardship faced by pensioners. As per the new arrangement, a bank-appointed correspondent will deliver the cash at the pensioners’ doorstep - hitherto done by postmen. The major advantage is that the pensioners will get a print out like ATM transaction. Pensioners to get smart cards | Deccan Chronicle ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The word destitute means persons without basic necessities in life that include shelter and education. Whether a person of no fixed abode (Destitute) he or she has a doorstep? Will a PO Box number be accepted? How the biometric machine will react at a PO Box? Going by the figures, if it goes through the implementation stage smoothly would be a great move. An Indian crore is equal to 100 lakhs or 10 million. 2,800 Crore x 10million will be the amount 23.94 x 100000 or 2,394,000 pensioners receive. On the positive side there may be a new generation of bank-based postmen delivering just that amount of money at doorsteps. What are the chances that these guys don’t get robbed on their way to doorsteps? My small brain refuses to comprehend anything beyond this point at this moment my friends. A feasibility study is always an essential stage for any plan to function. Rajpriya |
