Hahaha. I was going to give up on seeing them reunited...but Live 8 totally realized my dream. That's why I mention them...that and well...they're one of the greatest bands in my opinion.
If I had the time and the money I would have gone over there to see them reunited. But alas, a change of job means no leave for over a year.

Still I was totally stoked to see the few sets they did. They're the best progressive rock band ever in my opinion.

I remember watching PULSE on DVD. Comfortably Numb is excellent...after a good surfing session I just whack it on repeat and drift off on the waves of sleep.
Aw. Damn, man. I've been trying to find Pulse around here for ages...What...is kind of weird is that I've never looked on the internet...Whatever. But yeah...Pink Floyd...I love em.

I was there in Philladelphia with my brother and we managed to get quite close to the stage. We were on the grassy middle circle with the horse statue in front of the Art Museum steps. We caught everybody from the Black Eyed Peas to Dave Matthews but left for a little bit so we could get some water and something to eat. Managed to make our way back for Maroon 5 to Rob Thomas but then left quickly so we could get out of there on the first trains leaving the city. Managed to get a little burned on my neck and now the back of my neck is pretty dark and there's a distinct difference between that and the part of me that was covered by my shirt. Pretty embarrassing but it was well worth it.

Default Live8 Performances
Sadly...I never watched all of Live8. I saw some things like Rita/Stephen Marley with the Black Eyed Peas (Bob Marley cover...not too bad). It was on MTV though...ehhh. I did catch a recorded version of Pink Floyd's set though. Seeing Roger Waters back with the band and playing Comfortably Numb was one of the greatest things I've seen on TV...So...what was your favorite performance if you watched any of it?

Ssaw the whole thing on tv and the Floyd were definitely the best, was amazing seeing them play live for the first time in 20 odd years. My mate managed to get tickets to the hyde park performace, he is a big Pink Floyd fan, he said it was one of the best things he has ever seen and didnt want it to end.

I really want Pink Floyd to go on tour off the back of that performance would be mazzin

I watched a large part of it. My personal highlight was Bittersweet Symphony by Richard Ashcroft and Coldplay. I personally find Coldplay bland although pleasing to the ear, but The Verve is one of my favourite bands and Urban Hymns one of my favourite albums.

Yeah. Dark Side was definetly good. No one ever really mentions Wish You Were Here though...That has what a lot of Floyd Fans (including me) call the greatest song...er...songs...Shine on You Crazy Diamond. Pulse Version of Shine...ugh...melts me every time.

Gah, I envy you lucky ones that managed to see Pink Floyd perform at Live 8. I watched it from 1AM NZT right through to 10:15AM NZT.

Their performance was absolutely awesome. I felt the need to crank up the home theatre when they started Comfortably Numb.

Amazing how many people mention Pink Floyd when on the subject of Live 8 though.
