Sounds awesome. Isn't it bad for your bougu though? How do you treat your equipment afterwards? And your shinai, bokuto? (

I suspected that both were correct but since I can't even master Dutch verb grammar ("dt-fouten") I thought it was best to shut up :-)

theres a takeshima thread?!?! MUST PARTICIPATE *goes off to search for it*
http://www.kendo-world.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6168

On an unrelated issue, is Sei Shin Kan holding keiko during July and August? My primary dojo stops for one month and my secondary for two months... (no place to train)

I'm gonna have to burn $$ (transportation...) to support my kendo addiction...

We were talking about star wars galaxies, and some guy boasted he had a level 21 mage or something in WoW. To which the other guy replied "then go to Sei Shin Kan, they all play it there".

bah, i'm a korean who lives in belgium, who speaks english as a first language, dutch isn't my strongest tongue..
Then be mindful before you comment on my club's IMPECCABLE DUTCH SKILLS (TM)

Btw, I'm definately going to your keiko's in the Japanese garden during July...

yea those are AWESOME..

we had these ppl starin at us as if we were lunatics tho..
That had nothing to do with the fact that you were doing kendo... Most people go there to chill out, enjoy nature and such I suppose. Then you have a bunch of kendoka doing kiai...

bokuto is just a piece of wood, so doesnt really matter much

but my shinai started peeling off :S but it was okay after some sanding and re-oiling

we didnt wear men or kotes, just doh, tare, doji
wasn't bad for them at all, don't think there were any side effects..

and what's so bad about enmei ryu then? you probably don't know, that enmei ryu's founders were members of seishinkan (called antwerp kendo or something like that back then). a few of the yudansha of antwerp kendo decided to leave, encouraged other members to join them and to make some money by founding enmei ryu...

THAT is why i dont like enmei ryu

BTW, how did Eric Vanderheyden pass away? heart problems?

Actually I do know Kendo Antwerp splitted up into enmei and seishinkan, but to make money? I hardly doubt that, though I wont say anything on the matter since I simply wasn't there to witness it.
And yes, Eric passed away at home due to heart-faillure. None of us saw it coming.
