Most shops should have them for sale if you ask them, though you'll need to try it out before you'll know if it really fits your blade.

Your best bet would be one of the Japanese shops, as they have them for sale domestically already.

What happened to the original saya?

You can't just buy a saya. You need to have one made to fit your blade.

If you're going to get one, have it made for your sword. The pre-made ones may/may-not fit. It is best to have it made to fit your blade (better fit/function).

uhmmm is it because you haven't done enough sayabiki... that and you didn't care to fix the crack (while you still can)...???
Of course I care.I have no idea whats the best way to handle this. My sansai is looking into fixing it. I just wish to know in case he's not able to fix it. He never really fixed broken sayas before. Iaitos yes he as fixed. Besides this as been poping up lately to a few people. It shouldn't be cracking like this. I've been trying to keep it in the best condition that I can. It cost alot and the last thing I want to happen is for it to crack.

I really don't know. I bought a paul chen Iaito and all though the Iaito it's self is good the saya cracks easy. I'm not the only one in the dojo (that I go to) that have ran into this with the paul chen.

Don't be surprised if you have some trouble getting a saya quickly. There's been a real supply crunch lately. I'm told a bunch of saya makers in Japan have recently retired, putting a damper on supply. In fact, from what I've heard, the limited saya supply has been the reason that many vendors have been so slow to fill their iaito orders too.

You can't just buy a saya. You need to have one made to fit your blade.
Then in that case does anyone know where I could get one made for my blade.
