I know some of ya'll fish, so let see some picture of big ones.
http://www.drift-cav.50megs.com/photo6.html the second two are the biggest I've ever caught. And yes, I know my bogu is not on properly in the first picture. That was the first day I had it, and had not gotten any guidance in how to put it on (a point that was laughed at quite hardily by a few folks on here). |

No one else on this forum fishes? wow...... Although alotta people think I'am going fishing when I carry my bag with my Iaito in it. Other funny things I have heard carrying my bag were: if I had a hockey stick, a billart qeue or a kite. Funniest thing was someone asking me if a had a guitar in it (sorry going off-topic) |

that one was actualy caught right up the coast at sabine pass(wich i cracked up during the storm listening to heraldo mispronounce it........its all long vowels not short ones....)
There alot of fun when they run, but man when they wont run they feel like reeling in cross ties(in that ones case it ran from the minute it hit to the net.....i liked to never got the rod i was using out of the holder, and i quite large guy) |

Damn... I must move to LA. I love fishing but I hardly have the chance now. A 5 hour drive minimum to get to the sea so I mostly fish pond or river (trout, bass) etc. Biggest trout I've pulled out was a 5 fish (12 pounds I think) trout. I was 11 then, it was half my size. My grandpa once pulled out a fish twice his weight.

fly fishing helps ones cut apparently.
i wouldnt disagree, but my humble opinion shouts that fishing is just as boring as world of warcraft. i hope you eat the fish you catch, otherwise its meaningless and nasty to the fish. and we have koi that size-ish in the pond in the garden, they're much prettier hehe |

I eat it if I kill it. If it is under/over legal size i take a picture and put it back in the water. Personaly illd rather have the big red than the koi(you have a 50# koi? that impressive), especialy since he took 45+minutes of hard fighting to catch, and man he tasted good(when the hurricane hit it ruined alot of the fish i had in the freezer, i was PISSED cause i had four reds we were going to BBQ in there about two weeks later). I do beleive VERY strongly in practicing legal fishing, and being ethical about how i handle fis. It keeps populations up and makes for better fisheries, aside form being the ethical thing to do.
I was supised when i started kendo, becasue the movements ina men cut are nearly identical to those used when casting a surf rod, just softer(you push with your right hand to achieve a whip with a rod alot more than witha shinai) |

And i care what PETA thinks?
Last time i ran into PETA we used a 250 mercury on my buddys bassboat to shoot rooster tails at them......apparently after the third drenching they decided to protest elsewere. You realise fish dont remember even being caught after about an hour or so right? I've seen them eat lures dropped in livewells after a couple of hours.....must not have been overtly "traumatic" if they eat the same bait while stuck ina livewell........... |
