I eat it if I kill it. If it is under/over legal size i take a picture and put it back in the water. Personaly illd rather have the big red than the koi(you have a 50# koi? that impressive), especialy since he took 45+minutes of hard fighting to catch, and man he tasted good(when the hurricane hit it ruined alot of the fish i had in the freezer, i was PISSED cause i had four reds we were going to BBQ in there about two weeks later). I do beleive VERY strongly in practicing legal fishing, and being ethical about how i handle fis. It keeps populations up and makes for better fisheries, aside form being the ethical thing to do.

I was supised when i started kendo, becasue the movements ina men cut are nearly identical to those used when casting a surf rod, just softer(you push with your right hand to achieve a whip with a rod alot more than witha shinai)
im glad you eat them and your views. im not against hunting as its traditional, but in the same sense, i dont see the point in doing it purely for fun-its mean to all fluffy things involved, and its how the dodo ran out.
if its a pest/danger and theres lots and a banquet with quaffing of ale afterwards then its ok

yeah we have big fish-no garden left though, its all pond and fuschias.

the fishing will have given you good stead for kendo then

And i care what PETA thinks?
Dude... it was a joke. I don't like them as much as you do after those dumbass bombed research facilities and treat dogs just as bad as the people they "rescused" the dogs from.

I'm the guy who drove you home the week before.

You missed our first 100 count bata-muri (I'm sure I've spelled that wrong, but I've never seen it written so, you know...). Master had to stop us after 20, though. Apparently, the pace we were going at was probably going to kill us all!

you are becoming a good fisher yourself and thats great
if you can such big fihs take up fishing as a fun profession
you can catch large fish and then sell it at a good cost
so hows the idea?
