...the days of honor and purity are gone. "Now why don't you just take it easy, Group Captain, and please make me a drink of grain alcohol and rainwater, and help yourself to whatever you'd like." Hank D. Ripper. I do not avoid women, Mandrake. But I...I do deny them my essence. |

I'll ignore your comment on Networking and CCNA, your talking out of your ass if you think that a CCNA Cert. person cannot find a job easily. I've done college (yes, all of it, not just a year and a half) and CCNA, I was fed the "50k+ guaranteed after you're done college" schpiel, and it's just that: a schpiel, a dream, a lot of hot air. CCNA is a stepping stone. It'll be a nice thing to have, but real jobs require more than just certifications (and many of the best don't consider certifications all that highly). The rest of the certifications you're going for? Why the hell would you want an A+? And a Net+ after getting a CCNA? Are you collecting certifications for the hell of it? Experience is what's needed. Knowledge about more than just routers and networking is often required; security, system administration, heck, even a college diploma. 50k guaranteed on exit with a CCNA cert just won't happen. Jobs that concentrate solely on router config, management and troubleshooting are rare. Those that require a CCNA often require 5+ years of hands-on experience. You just don't get an entry level job that requires CCNA and pays 50k. You're dreaming, and that's the long and short of it. You might not be pleased with being told this, but then some people have the experience, you don't. We all have to make compromises in life. |

Can we stop the bashing at the moment? My room mate makes 14/hr at the moment. When he gets his permit he will make 16, and when he finishes his CCNA 20+. I think I have got the point that its going to take allot of dedication and training to do what I want to do. I was simply asking for advice. If you don’t have something informative to say, don’t say it. You may say that I'm dreaming....I say that you or someone else you know gave up to early.

I'll ignore your comment on Networking and CCNA, your talking out of your ass if you think that a CCNA Cert. person cannot find a job easily. I'm assuming this is directed to me in response to my last post on this thread. Believe it or not, I wasn't pulling crap out of my ass when I wrote that. I'll say it again: The economy isn't doing too well right now. Job competition is VERY high right now. And your not the only CCNA Cert. person out there. Yes, the odds of you getting a job with Cisco Networking ARE BETTER than, say, preforming or professional athletics. BUT, it sure as hell isn't going to be the nice-little-walk-in-the-park-get-rich-real-quick process you seem to believe (at least, thats the impression i'm getting). Your not the only one going after that job; finding a job in ANY FIELD (except the jobs no one wants) is tough right now. As long as you stick with college tho, you should at least be able to find a job after college, tho' without the 50k salary. Good luck with that.
No you cant carry a sword around anymore, but what you learn in martial arts should carry over into your every day life. If your talking about the specific values/emphasis of MA such as discipline, self control and modesty, then yes, I would have to agree. If your talking about the fighting aspects....thats flame bait. Not talking about that. Im not trying to walk around dressed as a samurai... Never said your were. Never said you were an anime junkie either. Never even said you were quoting an anime. Just said that one quote SOUNDED like something out of RK. Believe it or not, some of us are trying to help and give you REALISTIC ADVICE. Whether you want to believe it or not is your choice. |

Well, before you go saying that Im running around quoteing anime, please look at the dojos site and read its charter to prospective students. No you cant carry a sword around anymore, but what you learn in martial arts should carry over into your every day life. Im not trying to walk around dressed as a samurai... |

2swordstyle IS SwordTeacher99 IS J. Tingley and IMHO is also Senvarious and Zelgaddis and possibly a few others as well. That doesn't mean they're not friends or co-students or teacher-student or anything like that. But I really don't believe they're the same person. |

Senvarious, yes, but not Zelgaddis. Not every newbie is Justin, and you're grasping at straws making anyone not on the level into the same troll. That's just not the way it is. If you have an eye for things, you notice a number of patterns. There are easy matches between Senvarious and 2swordstyle, not so with Zelgaddis. |
