I'm new here, my names Sarah. I have a martial arts background, mostly Karate and recently got into sword stuff. Thought I'd come here and see whats up.
Can anyone tell me why I am bieng attacked by some lame paranoids who keep calling me Justin and not being over all very nice. I don't think I said or did anything, well, questioned the over all demeanor here, commented on some posts in reference to some current stupid stuiff you ask me that went on here, did some research that obvioulsy was not well recieved. Well, if anyone can offer me some insight, thatn would be great, because I did not come here ot be attacked for not real reason, just to talk and learn. Thanks.

Wow...that's really, really sad. Feel free to report all us bad guys to the moderator, his name's Hamish, and if you can prove to him you are who you say you are - and not 2swordstyle/swordteacher99/Justin/Gabriel etc., then I'm sure we'd all apologize profusely. Whether you are Sarah, Justin or Fred - it is irrelevant when you enter the online world. Unfortunatley, some people sit behind the security of a firewall and for some reason think that enables them to make claims they would not in normal life.

I learned the hard way. It is my most effective way of learning. ON these forums, it is best to keep your opinion objective, because someone will always have an opinion that differs from yours.

Worse, as i have discovered, if you try and 'uncover the truth' in person (sparring / comparison of techniques) they usually do a no show and go to new lengths to write you off online. There are always going to be procrastinators who hide behind computers.

My advice is to say whatever you like, but keep in mind, there are going to be more opinions than just yours - and they could all be right! You can usually tell someone who knows what they are talking about (example - mr PGSMITH - obviously has a depth of knowledge and enjoys sharing it, as opposed to mr Steve01, who is all mouth and no show [shallow]).

I will share a saying that i use to answer my friends when they ask how my marriage is going (recently entered the bliss of the ball and chain).

"I am always in the sh!t, it is just the depth that varies and lets me measure what type of day i am having".

This is all very weird, not to computer savvy, know theres whakos, but must be a whole lot of them here. Whats with all the paranoid people here, and mean ones, I'm shocked that anyone stays here. You don't seem so bad, you the only half way nice person here?

I tried to answer you very nicely and you summarily ignored me. As i told you in the other thread, generaly you will not be attacked attempting to make intelligent conversation.

I WIll post a generic warning here, and maybe some will listen to it, IF(and im not accusing you, im making a commentary on others posts) you are trolling these forums and have already been banned , for whatever reason, Hamish WILL know if you come back. Unless you are very good at hiding your IP, you will be detected and you risk a summary ban. Firewalls will not stop this. Im starting to beleive in all honesty we should have a more powerful and active moderation team here due to the overwhelming number of new trolls popping up(again im not accusing the originator of this post, but commenting on a topic brought up here). However this is not my decision to make, and Hamish will have to find his own way to stop it

It is strange, but i am sure if you have seen half of the comments and claims made by various people, you can understand why these guys are so upset with pretenders.

However, I also agree with them. If there is suspicion (it happens) you shouldn't have aproblem proving who you are - IF you have done nothing to worry about.

Just remember, everyone has a right to their own opinions - good, bad and ugly. All is required for balance. It is a shame, but the internet breeds some fairly pathetic forum contributers (masters via email). Hence the concern for people changing names etc etc.

Isn't that kind of off. I mean, saying that kendo people tend not to lie about their credentials and kenjutsu people do? I don't think that makes a whole lot of sense? 80 posts, thats a lot I guess, unless you have a lot to say. I don't know, I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt is all. Did not know posting a lot or being confrontational made someone a fraud.

So is the second part a precursor to a "talk"? It started as a friendly chat between "Justin" and most ppl. It ended up as him trying to teach (more preach) instead of talking, discussing and learning. Anyways, if you are who you say you are, then I apologize. Kendo ppl aren't one to hold a grudge. And what Neil meant in that post was that ppl who CLAIM to be kenjutsu senseis try to troll here. He didn't mean that all kenjutsu ppl are bad.

This troll issue is getting better by the second. KWF is my homepage (Why not? Its nice to have a quick browse before setting of into the net.) and evertime I open internet explorer, Justin has created a new user name or plays the innocent card or digs themself deeper. Hmm - ok, being that i missed the threads wherein the above questionable people were preaching to the world (from a computer), i may be a little out of context. I will comment on the current state here though:

Whatever username you have, you are a fool to change it. Sure you get a little heated hearing what some of the "Masters of the Forum Universe" have to say, but seriously - THIS IS THE INTERNET, the birthplace of fantasies. We all make mistakes. Deal with it.

Sarah - if you are guilty of changing to and fro - please punch yourself in the face as hard as you can. This will subdue the masses vying for your blood.

IF NOT - then, duck to avoid your own punch and move on. If you stand there whinging about the 'mean people' may i remind you, that you are on a forum where practitioners of swordsmanship reside. Last time i checked, the focus was not on being a cunning linguist!!

But very few don't fill in anything in their contactinfo, and start a new thread about a previous troll (and even defending him). Take that and add what sinta just wrote about same spelling mistakes (even though I have to agree that you learned punctuation very quickly, Justin) and Scott who claim they use the same IP, and there should be very little doubt.
