Swedish chef goes all the way, first time I saw somebody being attacked by his own food... being choked by the spaghetti for those who didn't saw that part
second and third, Waldorf and Statler (I hope I will be as witty like them when I'm old and wrinkled up)

Beaker and Animal are ties in 1st. My fondest memories of that show was the segments were they were in it.

Woohoo my first post here in the forum and I talk about Muppets

Do I ever? Jeeze...and get Mingshi AND Karou after me? (because Minnesota is a foriegn country, don'tcha know...)
Ahahaha!! Yah, shore, yah Betcha it is!

But really... I'm from San Diego, CA! I lived there until 5 years ago. I'm just using up land space in Minnesota until I can go back home.

Seriously, this state is so different than Cali it's not funny! Especially the small central MN town I moved to because of my parents. I thought I was being dragged into a black hole! hehehe...

No one beats Gonzo!
Yeah! Too bad most people don't agree. Heathens.

Does anyone else like non-muppets movies Jim Henson made. I love Labyrinth but Dark Crystal is also very good.

Beaker is king, closely followed by Stadler and Waldorf as twin heirs to the throne. Big bird is hung up in th torture chamber with the only the swedish chef as "company" Herdygurdyflurdy chicken!
Oh, you're bad... ROTFL! *Hits Gibbo-san over the head with a wet noodle*

Strictly speaking no, he was played by a human on a suit and not by a muppeteer, however some parts of him are controlled by a muppeteer (his arms). However he is one of Henson's most notorious creations so I included him. BTW, the characters in Sesame Street ARE muppets.

Animal, duh. He was red and musically inclined. He also didn't speak too much...I really didn't like the muppets' voices so this was a bonus. And miss piggy I found annoying........ The rat guy was hilarious too, I think his name was Rizzo? or something...
Oh yes, I forgot Rizzo, always considered him more a prop for Gonzo than a real character.

Just so you know. I deliberately missed out Swedish Chef because he would win. So I rigged the elections. Completely forgot about Cookie Monster though. I take it no one likes Elmo either.
You're right... I don't like Elmo.

Default The Muppets
So... Today (at least in my timezone) is the 50th birthday of Kermit the Frog. Is anyone here a muppets fan? Although Jim Henson died when I was 2 years old I grew up watching the Muppets, Sesame Street and Muppets Babies. I personally consider Jim Henson one of the most creative entertainers of the past century, Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal are great movies too.

So, who is your favourite muppet?

Were you trying to mix muppets there? Anyway...I heard they are trying to introduce veggies into cookie monster's diet on new Sesame Street episodes, emphasizing that cookies are a "sometimes food". Wow. That's too bad.

Hank.
