Default Yet another Movie Thread
OK, given the recent, wild popularity of movie-themed threads, I thought I'd pick up on a theme alluded in an earlier thread and run with it:

Basically, I'll start by naming an actor. Then someone will respond by naming one or more films in which that actor dies and follow up with the name of another actor.

For example:

(original post)

"Jackie Chan"

(response)

"Enter the Dragon"

"Steven Seagal"

(next response)

"Executive Decision"

"Bill Cosby"

(etc etc)

Got it?

Right then, let's start with:

Clint Eastwood

My bad, I didn't read the thing properly, no wonder I thought it was a gash idea and a bit easy......let me think......does he die in The Unforgiven

Nope. I know of one movie. Set in the American Civil War and starring Clint as a deserter from the Union army who gets duped into eating some poisoned mushrooms...

Ah, but Lee Ermy does die in FMJ, so you were on the right track with that one.

Eh? Dan Akroyd dies in 50 First Dates?

I'm beginning to suspect that people aren't reading the thread instructions.

I read 'em closely but can't think of many movies that claimed an actor's life except for maybe "The Crow" when Brandon Lee died during film production. Amazingly his character lived on to finish the film, so does that even count? A lot of characters kick the bucket in films, though. I take it that is what you meant by your instructions?

Yes, That's what I meant.

However, a number of actors have died during the filming of movies, including Vic Morrow who was beheaded by chopper blades in "The Twilight Zone" and that poor woman who was painted gold for "Goldfinger" (that's her dead body in the film!)

But no, I simply meant "actors who played dying roles in a given film."

Actually, the girl in Goldfinger didn't die.

I stand corrected. Chalk another one up for urban legend.

Having a tough time with this one...

Midway, maybe? As a Japanese sailor who went down with one of the four aircraft carriers?
