Default The Last Movie
Continuing on the Movie thread theme:

You have the opportunity to watch one last movie. What would it be? It can be an old classic you have watched a million times or something you saw at the cinema yesterday.

One last movie before...dying?

If so, perhaps Kurosawa's "Ikiru."

Or possibly a really really long one, like Aoyama Shinji's "Eureka"--that way I could write and proof-read my last will and testament and maybe squeeze in one last session on the stairmaster before calling it a day.

I forgot to answer my own question:

Leon (Version Integrale) - wow. What a film - the full version makes the original unwatchable though.

Tampopo or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas or The Big Blue (Director's cut)
Fear & Loathing and The Big Blue are two of my favourite films. Nice one KML.

This really is a hard question

It would depend on the mood when I go watch the last movie. If I want a tear in my eye for the last movie It'd be Donnie Darko and if I want the last movie to be all smile and happy I'd go for Life of Brian.

I think it would have to be Brazil.

Wow, I haven't thought much about The Big Blue since I saw it in the theaters when it first came out (1980s). I had no idea it was that popular (damn US-centricity).

Hank.

The Big Blue. Watch the director's cut. Its 3 hours and the ending is different. Its like Brazil, the happy US cinema ending or Terry Gilliam's proper cut...Brazil had amazing visual icons...all my designers love it.

This is one of those questions that the answer can change on from time to time. It would be hard to pick... and I doubt I'd be in a movie watching mood (ie there are other things I rather spend time on before my death)... but... 'Tampopo' or 'My Sassy Girl' certainly come to mind. But I could probably just as easily reel (pun intended) off another 10 or 20.

Lauren Bacall, in the Big Sleep, is hotter.

I think I would chose to spend my short time which I had left doing some other actions than watching movie.

But...

If it's forced to me, such as I am locked up, and it's my choice,
Perhaps "Dreams" by Kurosawa Akira.

Actually, I don't think the happy ending was in the US cinema version of Brazil, but on a television cut. I could be wrong, but I didn't see the happy ending cut until I got the Criterion DVD a couple years ago.
