. . .
-Buckaroo Banzai, in "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension"
There was talk about a sequel but the cost of the cast (almost all stars now) would be prohibitive. BTW, let us not forget the famous alien, John O'Connor.

An now for my entry, and this is from memory.
"So, it's Innisfree your looking for? Well see that road over there? Stay away from it, it will do you no good."
The Quiet Man, maybe John Wayne's best movie.

I can't remember the name of the movie...my girlfriend forced me to watch it after I made her watch Yojimbo. It had Vince Vaughn in it, oh yeh,..The Break Up. The movie sucked.

Marx Brothers, "Duck Soup" I think;

Female Lead - "Oh Professor Firefly, hold me closer!"

Closer!

Closer!

Groucho - "If I hold you any closer I'll be in back of you."

My second choice? (even though you didn't ask for one) - I'd go with Iggy and "The Quiet Man". Not only (perhaps) John Wayne's best, but maybe one of the best movies ever. If you haven't seen it, do. Great cast, fabulous writing, UN-believable photography in Ireland.

Ans as Awooga Guy would say, "That is all"

All this talk of the Marx Brothers is making me think of the good old Devil's Rejects...

Captain J.T. Spaulding: "Where the hell you goin'? Damn it. Don't you NEVER turn your back on a fuckin' clown when he's talkin' to you!"

Of course Otis has the best lines:

"I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed."

"Boy, the next word that comes out of your mouth better be some brilliant fuckin' Mark Twain shit. 'Cause it's definitely getting chiseled on your tombstone."

Dirk: I'm sorry, I don't speak English.
Gunboat Officer: You are speaking English right now.
Dirk: No, I only know how to say, "I don't speak English" in English.

From Sahara. One of my most favourite brainless action movies.

Oh, I'm good at this game, although I can never decide on a favorite...

Man With No Name: You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig.

From Once Upon A Time In The West:
Harmonica: I saw three of these dusters a short time ago, they were waiting for a train. Inside the dusters, there were three men.
Cheyenne: So?
Harmonica: Inside the men, there were three bullets.

From Office Space:
Peter Gibbons: The thing is, Bob, it's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.

Ah, too many to mention. I'll leave it at that.

In "Duck Soup", Margaret Dumont asks Groucho Marx, 'Rufus, what are you doing?' To which he replies, 'We're fighting for your honor, which is probably more than you ever did.'

from belgian dumb-ass tv show called "flikken" (about cops)

they were investigating a case about a missing girl:
"she wat 10 when she dissapeared."
-"but thats 8 years ago!"
"Yes, We cant know for sure how old she is now"

not funny but the sheer stupidity made me drink come out through my nose. thank god it wasnt anything fizzy.
btw this is one of the best shows belgium has to offer. I dont have to mention I dont watch tv very often around here

Shaun - "I don't think I have it in me to shoot both my Mum and my girlfriend in the same day"

Liz - "Who said we were back together?"

Shaun - "Oh, babe, you don't want to die single, do you?"

The ever brilliant Shaun of The Dead.

I watched a movie a few days ago called "My family and other strange animals", that was written by a zoologist about a family holiday to Corfu when he was a kid. Basically his family ran riot and drove eachother and the locals nuts, it was the funniest thing Ive seen in ages, you cant beat dry brittish humour.

I loved the line "If you can control your family, youve done something terribly wrong".

This was a film on the life of Gerrald Durrell and one of my favourite books, before he died he owned a zoo on the island of jersey and did a lot of consdervation work. Sorry boring bit over with.
