Hey, guys. Found this chart at another forum that gives the results of a study on sexual satisfaction by country.

I'll try to find the story that goes with it. But what's the deal? I thought Japan was sex-obsessed, and yet they rate here very low in terms of sexual satisfaction both for men and women and both physically and emotionally. Are they just overworked? The culture not encourage a knowledge-flow of good sex advice? I'm just curious. Smutty Samurai, please check in!

Researchers surveyed sexual well-being in 29 nations, including countries they call "male-centered sexual regimes" where men generally control the sexual conduct of women, and "gender-equal sexual regimes" that emphasize equality between sexual partners.

• The survey polled 13,882 women and 13,618 men aged 40 to 80.

• Only 49 percent of men and 32 percent of women indicated that sex was extremely or very important to their overall life.

• Men who had multiple sex partners were less likely to be satisfied with their relationships, but more likely to believe that sex was important.

• Men report higher levels of sexual satisfaction than women, regardless of nation.

• Asian countries all reported low levels of sexual satisfaction and moderate to low levels of satisfaction with their relationships and the importance of sex.

• Israeli women placed the highest value on the importance of sex -- the lowest score came from women in Taiwan. Among men, Brazil scored the highest and Thailand the lowest.

• Overall, people in Austria are most satisfied with their sex lives, and Japanese are least satisfied.

Maybe they're not getting any Thats pretty low though, I was skirting through the figures and I saw: hoo hoo! Indonesia's in a bad way, then I saw Japan. The only thing they seem to be better than anyone on is emotional satisfaction for men.

Booo! Who "deserves" an oppressive culture? Just because a revolution hasn't happened yet doesn't mean the downtrodden deserve the mechanisms in their country/culture before that time. I mean, information is key here. I think - just guessing - one of the reasons we in North America seem to rate so high on this is because of an information revolution we have been having since the 1950s.

Japanese porn, have you seen any girl actively during the action or just men doing the whole works. How about porn from Hong Kong. Then compare that to porn from Hollywood. Asian people living in Western country have more open mind than ones living in Asian (and I agree there are many exception). I don't know how many Asian women you have slept before but such statement about whole Asian sounds simply rude.

I am looking at this stats but it can also tell you whole different thing. You will need to understand real culture before you make your statement.

I am not label the whole Asia but that is the status norm of the cultures. Don't tell me Sex in Asia is as open as Western countries. And what I said is to be satify, it requires the participation of both parties (Hello, it takes two to tango). However, due to cultural taboo, that is not the case but submission is.
