Default Kanji and whatnots
Hi Bokutou,

Here it is typed 気検体の一致 and a picture from a German site. I did not actualy know about the last my self! lol.

I have also been studdying Japanese for coming 3 years now . I requmend Kodansha's 'Japanese for busy people' even if some people do not like it for some reason, but I think the harder you try the more you learn just like Kendo. But also like Kendo it is better to join a class.

Okay, thread resurrection...

I am a bit confused over use of kanji.

I was always under the impression that it was "ki-ken-tai-ichi" 気剣体一 as in "mind, sword and body as one" but now I realized that there was another way of writing and pronouncing it:

"ki-ken-tai-icchi" 気剣体一致 which I guess would be "mind, sword and body as a union/cooperating".

Both kanji combinations give the same amount of hits on Google. Are both used interchangably (the difference is not big), or is one more correct than the other?

It's 気剣体一致. The reason you're getting the same number of hits on Google is most likely because 気剣体一 is contained within the phrase 気剣体一致 Any other usage of 気剣体一 is almost certainly a mistake.

Edit: it can also be 気剣体の一致, but this is less common.

Ah, of course! I feel that my Google-fu is not as strong as usual

So, there is only one correct way and that is 気剣体一致?

I concur: 一 means "one", as in the numerical value 1; 一致 means "one" as in "one and the same", "an exact match"
