An awesome question was posed to me today at work which I thought I would share with y'all...
"What event in history would you like to bear witness to? It can be something you could take active part in OR as a observer only i.e. no danger to yourself." This should hopefully generate some interesting answers... |

Since Paburo chose one of my historical moments, here's an updated list:
Musashi vs Akiyama: It would be interesting to see how Musashi could have beaten someone 'as fast as one can turn over their hand'. The Battle of Stamford Bridge While Arthur, Boudicca, Leonidas or Ieyasu would have been cool, to see in action what was the elite English soldier of the day - The Housecarls - would have been well interesting. September 11 I would be very interested in seeing (from safe distance preferably) exactly what hit the Pentagon. |

Birth of the universe.
Solving time travel is one thing but being able to observe something that is pretty much unobservable is another. Anyways, that's pre-history, so is anything pre-man out? So, if i can't watch the mother of all events then i'll settle for something else. Obviously going to watch some famous religious happening would be interesting but no doubt a great disappointment due to exaggeration over the centuries. A grand scale battle would be cool, but a bit too much death for me. Was there some historical lesbian orgy i could go watch? Yeah, put me down for that. Oh, I can take part?! Why ever not... *throws self into chocolate pot then goes to time machine* Seriously though, I'd be up for taking part in the moon landing. Or a part of a physics discovery.. too many cool ones to mention |

Musashi vs Akiyama: I'm not that interested in moments, as there are too many. I'd love to visit certain times for, say, a week. That would be great. |

..other moments I'd like to see include Caesar's murder, Cicero's speeches against Verres (or any other of his great speeches), Pompeii's last hour, the battle of Culloden (though it would probably be too much for me) and many more. What would you do whilst watching? ~Munch popcorn? LOL |

You guys are a fairly macabre bunch! On the whole I'd prefer to spend a day in ancient Rome, hear some of the speeches on the Forum Romanum and just enjoy the Italian summer. |

Why not? Most of you seem to want to watch people being butchered :P a. That quality which appeals to a sense of the ludicrous or absurdly incongruous. b. The mental faculty of discovering, expressing, or appreciating the ludicrous or absurdly incongruous. c. Something that is or is designed to be comical or amusing. Just in case you forgot. |
