I was on a training course at work the other week and they asked us two questions which the Psychs reckoned pretty much told us all they needed to know about our personalities.
Me, being your average sceptic just laughed but they said that if I wished to prove them wrong all I had to do was answer honestly and let them do the rest. Bugger me they were not far off. And these two magical questions? 1. If you were a car what would you be? ( girlies not allowed to say " a red one") 2. If you were an animal which would you be? Feel free to give it some thought and posts your answers- but remember you have to be honest. |

So Satsumaruma... you said human and BMW 650i? What was the psych profile they gave you?
I would first ask a question had I been you... do you mean any animal other than human? If humans count then I would be human of course.. if not I would be a cat of some type I suppose, perhaps a lion or panther or maybe a housecat... they get pampered, do what they want, and in general have a very plush life.. but definitely a feline of some type. What kind of car... thats really difficult... probably a 4WD midi pickup like a Tundra or the like, but there are so many it's hard to choose... perhaps a 60's aston martin or a sunbeam tiger. Does an inability to decide factor in your psych profile? lol. |

What type of car would I be?
Well, I don't know alot about cars so I don't know names of the ones that havn't appeared as iconic simbols in cult movies. Something simple, and black. Real men wear black. What animal would I be? A normal moggy cat. I've had cats my whole life and the more I spend time with them the more I see some of my own behavior in them. They're proud, slightly obsessive creatures with a good, healthy amount of cynicism. |

1) A Silver Porsche 911, classic yet cutting edge (kinda)....and NO, I'm not some Neo-Nazi wannabe, although I am German in descent.
2) Does a "Don't mess with me Dragon" count as an animal (jokes)?? If not I would be a Hawk or Eagle (a big majestic bird of prey). I definately don't want to be a whale!! |

So how would they know what personality you are... really?
the answer to questions like "what car would you be?" only reflects what you see yourself as, not neccesarily what you are, right? If someone say "a Hummer" and "a bear", what is most likely; that the person really has a bold character, or just a big ego? |

A couple of answers to questions I cant be bothered to cut and paste etc.
Yes, they definitely said " you would be" not "what you wanted to be". I asked the very same question and they explained that you need to say how you see youself not how you wished to be. So, if you think you are steady and reliable etc you might say something like a Mazda 3 or BMW 3 series saloon etc wheres the same person might not wish to come across sa staedy and reliable but wish to make themselves appear as something they are not so they might put Lambo Murcielago. So, if you wish to play put which Car or animal you WOULD be; and not which you wish to be. Other thing is I didn't really put BMW650i or the humumumumumu thingy. I was just joshing with Ignatz. For the record I put Mercedes-Maclaren, not very high, solidity and reliability of a Merc, high maintenance costs and a whole world of trouble and noise when you step on the gas. Animal. I put a wolf. Likes to be in company; enjoys comfort, works well in a team, caring and nurturing towards its own, dangerous to the point of extreme violence to anything it sees as a threat. |

Then I will specify my choices from my earlier post based on your new info...
I would be the 4WD toyota tundra .. reason.. works hard, reliable, continues to keep going even when conditions are bad. Cat... feline of some sort still is my pick here. I can get along with others but am fine on my own. I like to do my own thing, unique if you will, and don't really care much what others think of me. I am nice to those that are friendly to me, but make close friends relatively slowly. The only thing I don't feel I am cat-like about it that I am not jumpy or skitterish but feel I have more in common with felines than other animals. |
