Hello all,
I am currently working on a project involving interviews with my fellow Kenshi. The style with be Q & A. via email or PM. These interviews, when complete, will be immortalized on a special website I plan to create to sort of leave a legacy if you will, hopefully for future generations. Temporarily, they will reside on physical media offline, and online written to my blog. It subject matter will be treated tastefully and with respect. If you are interested, please say so here, or send me a PM. Your stories need to be told and captured for archives! Don't make me come after you people! Thanks. -Kenzan |

I'd like to elaborate a bit:
The interviews will be related to Kendo, and other J.S.A. Such questions will include things such as when you started, what your feelings are about it, how they have changed over the years, insights, lessons learned, and anecdotes. The project mission is to compile thoughts and experiences from Kenshi and J.S.A. practitioners at many levels ages and genders, so that future generations might benefit. Thank you. |

Kenzan, I started a Kendo log when I began practicing. I could forward it to you if you'd like. I didn't want to document my training on this forum as it looks like it's been many times already. I'd love to see it! ![]() You also bring up a good point: I also realize that probably every initial question I'll be asking has already been addressed at one time or another, but they are sort of scattered, and two obstacles prevent the project from making good use of them: 1. The search feature does not seem to work as well as you might think. (Either that or I am using it wrong.) 2. I would have to track down and ask permission to repost people's comments for each item. This would not be practical. My hope for the project is to tie these interviews into one place, on a website, and listed perhaps alphabetically, and easy to research and read. I'm treating the project as open source, so if anyone with experience on this has input, I would love to hear it. I've set a goal that I will create the website with it's own domain name once I receive and polish 50 interviews at least, but as many as I can get, the further along the project will go. If the response is good, I possibly can remain as an open book. I'm still mulling over whether I should put the finished interviews (up to to the goal) onto my blog until the final home is finished. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you. |

Sounds like a cool project, I'm looking forward to reading it. I've been practicing once a week or so for a year so I'll let others give their more insightful comments.
But... 1. The search feature does not seem to work as well as you might think. (Either that or I am using it wrong.) |
