I'm excited about this. It will be my first competition. The annoying thing is the travelling though.

More like 3 hours+...and given that many people in London don't have a car, Ollerton is just about one of the worst places to travel to in the UK.
I wish they would bring these events back to Birmingham. It would be far more convenient for the majority.

Hey I'm from Newcastle!!!
I have to travel to every Kendo event!!!
You guys from London are ok, as nearly every Kendo event is on your doorstep.

Until the London Cup this year, the only 'door-step' event was the Mumeishi 3's, which offers only limited participation and the kyu-grade taikai.

Let's not get into any arguments here!!!
Let's get back to the original question.

Will Hizen have 10 teams this year (I think they had 8 last year)

We're sending just one team this year, but as we're going to win, I think that's enough!!!

I just hope that they aren't putting all the strong teams on one court again this year. The final the last 2 years have been such a letdown.

Two teams from Liverpool hoping to make it out of the opening matches - last years still available here

Isn't the Bowden held for a maximum of three years at one venue? This is Ollerton's 3rd so who knows where next year, though they do a grand job.

So who do you think will take the crown in your absence???

Of course it would be better if were here so that someone could have the pleasure of taking your crown from you!!! lol

Baz (aka the Geordie Bruiser)

I remember it well.
Was just wondering if there was a specific reason you mentioned this particular match?
