I was listening to the radio a few days ago ( not something I am prone to do given how much drivel they play) and they were playing songs by Tribute bands. So the Bootleg Beatles (the Beatles) and Bjorn Again (ABBA) amongst many others got some air time.
They then had a phone in for people to suggest imaginative names for Tribute Bands. Just wondered if anyone has been in a tribute band and what name they used OR if they would've liked to have been in one and what name they would've come up with. I personally think Bjorn Again is about as good as it gets as names go -anyone got better? |

real famous finnish bunch: apocalyptica, they do cello covers of metallica and various other metal bands.
around here we have "Whole lotta led" My mate's one: "iron midden" there's another maiden tribute band... they play some metallica too, what are they called.... emmm.. oh yeah, trivium. I dunno, just making some up..."oyster marmalade", "who the F is alice, in chains?", "wireless heid", "twice as dangerous", "dark sunday"... take a guess at what you think the actual bands are.... |

Errm Pearl Jam, dunno, radiohead, dunno, and Black Sabbath Most of the tribute bands I've seen have had wildly unimaginative names but there were one or two good'uns (Nearvana being one of them). I used to be in a cover band called Maim That Tune. Does that count? |
