Well actually since the Big 10 conference was originally called the "Western conference" I suppose we are actually in the west.

"Midwest" is a lie... it's located back east.

When I went to college at Northern Arizona University, I took a linguistics class taught by a woman from Chicago. She said she, as a Midwesterner, was surprised when she heard from Arizonans that she was from "Back East," so one day in class she asked us where "Back East" started. The average answer was "The New Mexico border."

I would love to be somewhere else, but I am in the U.S. Southeast. A Kendo dry zone... it's 3-5 hours to the nearest actual dojo/ club with a sensei. My own club is an hour away, and not many of us are graded. *sigh*

This morning just after 6AM someone bugged me on the train if i was willing to fill in some questionaire. I was barely awake yet awake enough to say no.
